Looking at this home today, you would never know that the project began as a poorly maintained duplex. Luckily, the homeowners saw past the worn façade and engaged our team to uncover and update the Victorian gem that lay underneath. Taking special care to preserve the historical integrity of the 100-year-old floor plan, we returned the home back to its original glory as a grand, single family home. The project included many renovations, both small and large, including the addition of a a wraparound porch to bring the façade closer to the street, a gable with custom scrollwork to accent the new front door, and a more substantial balustrade. Windows were added to bring in more light and some interior walls were removed to open up the public spaces to accommodate the family’s lifestyle. A custom built-in with cabinetry for an 85" TV grounded the room with clean, modern architectural detail to balance the two-story height. A complete staircase reconstruction — new stringers, skirt boards, rail system, balusters, and newel posts — added structural integrity and refined architectural presence. A custom coffered ceiling introduced depth and warmth, with acoustic panels seamlessly integrated within its framework to control sound transmission throughout the home. The space was finished with plush, family-friendly seating in layered neutrals, Ripplefold drapery at the oversized windows, and walls refreshed in warm Quincy Tan with crisp White Dove trim

This Hamilton, MA kitchen blends classic and contemporary elements with a bright, two-tone design featuring crisp white upper cabinetry and rich gray lower cabinets. A spacious island with quartz countertops provides ample seating and storage, while glass pendant lights add a touch of modern elegance. The apron-front farmhouse sink beneath a large window creates a charming focal point, complemented by a soft, neutral backsplash. Our most recent modern farmhouse in the west Willamette Valley is what dream homes are made of. Named “Starry Night Ranch” by the homeowners, this 3 level, 4 bedroom custom home boasts of over 9,000 square feet of combined living, garage and outdoor spaces. Well versed in the custom home building process, the homeowners spent many hours partnering with both Shan Stassens of Winsome Construction and Buck Bailey Design to add in countless unique features, including a cross hatched cable rail system, a second story window that perfectly frames a view of Mt. Hood and an entryway cut-out to keep a specialty piece of furniture tucked out of the way. From whitewashed shiplap wall coverings to reclaimed wood sliding barn doors to mosaic tile and honed granite, this farmhouse-inspired space achieves a timeless appeal with both classic comfort and modern flair.

A prominent feature is the six-light brass chandelier, which hangs above the wooden dining table and serves as a sophisticated focal point. The traditional-style chandelier provides both illumination and an elegant touch. The table is paired with a set of classic black Windsor chairs, which offer a sharp contrast to the light-colored walls and the warmth of the hardwood floors, creating a timeless and inviting look. The ceiling features beadboard paneling, which is a classic detail often found in coastal and farmhouse-style homes, and adds texture and character to the space. The room is bathed in natural light from a series of large windows that overlook a lush green yard, creating a connection to the outdoors. French doors, visible on the right, further enhance the open and airy feel, suggesting a seamless flow between the dining room and other areas of the home. The light beige walls and crisp white trim on the windows and doors complete the serene and traditional coastal color palette.
