Needing a tranquil getaway? This bathroom is just that - with matte glass mosaics in the best beachy blue tones, fresh white cabinetry, wood plank tile, flat pebble tile for the shower floor, and amazing amenities including heated floors, a heated towel rack and natural light galore, why would you ever leave? What’s a great master bath without plenty of storage? In addition to the great cabinets, we have handy niches everywhere you could possibly need one, and with all of these great details, could you even tell that this bathroom is fully accessible? That’s right, we’ve got a barrier free shower, grab bars, and plenty of floor space to maneuver, around it all!

From the very beginning, the goal and purpose of this master bathroom remodel was to improve functionality, specifically for future days when wheelchair access may become necessary on a regular basis.
The double bowl vanity with roll under access at one end means he can be at the sink with ease, and she doesn't sacrifice any valuable storage space. Zero barrier entry to shower with custom bench is really the spa look we are all looking for - large shower space with a seating option and hand held spray. The bathroom is large enough for a soaking tub and the minimal decking allows for easier maneuvering in and out. All water controls are at accessible height and location, as are the grab bars for optimal safety.

This clean and classic kitchen features custom cabinetry in a shaker style with a step in Dove White on the perimeter and Sterling on the island. One of the unique features is the second tier of cabinets, not only above the wall cabinets but also over the window instead of typical soffit and crown. For a young couple with 4 children (3 of them triplets), 3 black labs, and a couple of nannies, the expansive space is the perfect set up with plenty of room to maneuver around and plenty of seating. The island has space for 4 and the table adjacent to it seats an additional 6 to 8 people at once. Aside from the centrally located cooking and prepping areas, there is also a coffee center with adjacent pantry storage and a bar area. The perimeter countertops are Cararra marble; the island top, as well as the top at the coffee station, is Mahogany from Grothouse Lumber. Backsplash is Dove Grey handmade ceramic tile from Casa Blanca. Appliances are a mix of Sub-Zero (beverage center, refrigerator/freezer), Wolf (dual fuel range and hood), a Miele coffee maker and a Bosch dishwasher. It’s no surprise these Hanover clients reached out to Cathy and Ed of Renovisions for design and build services as they wanted a local professional bath specialist to turn their plain builder-grade bath into a luxurious handicapped accessible master bath.
Renovisions had safety and universal design in mind while creating this customized two-person super shower and well-appointed master bath so their clients could escape to a special place to relax and energize their senses while also helping to conserve time and water as it is used simultaneously by them.
This completely water proofed spacious 4’x8’ walk-in curb-less shower with lineal drain system and larger format porcelain tiles was a must have for our senior client –with larger tiles there are less grout lines, easier to clean and easier to maneuver using a walker to enter and exit the master bath.
Renovisions collaborated with their clients to design a spa-like bath with several amenities and added conveniences with safety considerations. The bench seat that spans the width of the wall was a great addition to the shower. It’s a comfortable place to sit down and stretch out and also to keep warm as electric mesh warming materials were used along with a programmable thermostat to keep these homeowners toasty and cozy!
Careful attention to all of the details in this master suite created a peaceful and elegant environment that, simply put, feels divine. Adding details such as the warming towel rack, mosaic tiled shower niche, shiny polished chrome decorative safety grab bars that also serve as towel racks and a towel rack inside the shower area added a measure of style. A stately framed mirror over the pedestal sink matches the warm white painted finish of the linen storage cabinetry that provides functionality and good looks to this space. Pull-down safety grab bars on either side of the comfort height high-efficiency toilet was essential to keep safety as a top priority.
Water, water everywhere for this well deserving couple – multiple shower heads enhances the bathing experience for our client with mobility issues as 54 soft sprays from each wall jet provide a soothing and cleansing effect – a great choice because they do not require gripping and manipulating handles yet provide a sleek look with easy cleaning. The thermostatic valve maintains desired water temperature and volume controls allows the bather to utilize the adjustable hand-held shower on a slide-bar- an ideal fixture to shower and spray down shower area when done.
A beautiful, frameless clear glass enclosure maintains a clean, open look without taking away from the stunning and richly grained marble-look tiles and decorative elements inside the shower. In addition to its therapeutic value, this shower is truly a design focal point of the master bath with striking tile work, beautiful chrome fixtures including several safety grab bars adding aesthetic value as well as safety benefits.

Master BR with French doors gets Top/Bottom rod pocket application for softness and a touch of romantic privacy. The window scape is treated with the light filtering semi-sheer fabric in a Europleat with rings and minimal rod for easy maneuvering.
Fabric by Fabricut.

Our clients wished to remodel their master bedroom and bath to accommodate their changing mobility challenges. They expressed the importance of maximizing functionality to allow accessibility in a space that was elegant, refined and felt like home. We crafted a design plan that included converting two smaller bedrooms, a small bath and walk-in closet into a spacious master suite with a wheelchair accessible bathroom and three closets.
Custom, double pocket doors invite you into the 25-foot wide, light-filled bedroom with generous floor space to maneuver around the bed and furniture. Hardwood floors, recessed lighting and window views to the owner’s gardens make this bedroom particularly warm and inviting.
In the bathroom, the 5×7 roll-in shower features natural marble tile with a custom rug pattern. There’s also a new, accessible sink and vanity with plenty of storage. Wider hallways and pocket doors were installed throughout as well as a completely updated seated chairlift that allows access from the garage to the second floor. Altogether, it’s a beautiful space where the homeowners can comfortably live for years to come.

Located in the Sky Lofts building in Tribeca (once home to the most expensive apartment sale in NYC), our clients were ready to renovate and modernize their centerpiece kitchen. Due to the unique nature of loft renovations (high ceilings, columns, creative and skillful lighting applications, among other factors), Gallery’s expertise in loft spaces was vital to our clients. In addition to the loft particularities, it’s important in a kitchen of this size to ensure that all the elements have been laid out with purpose from a functional perspective and a design perspective.
CENTERPIECE KITCHEN
Color was an important design element in this kitchen. This is evident in the striking blues and grays of the marble countertops and backsplash, as well as the dark navy hue of the built-in cabinets. White lower cabinets create two-tone contrast, while glass cabinets and a long wood open shelf make the most of the available height.
The built-in cabinets also include built-in appliances: an espresso maker, coffee machine, two side-by-side wine fridges, and even an integrated refrigerator paneled to match the cabinetry for an essentially seamless look. The cabinets are all push-to-open, eliminating knobs to complete the overall sleek, contemporary style.
The marble backsplash is also book-matched, meaning the slabs of stone have been cut and polished to match each other, creating a mirroring effect that further contributes to the cohesive, contemporary aesthetic of this apartment.
BUILDING CONSIDERATIONS
Functional factors are another vital component to New York City apartment building renovations. In this particular project, we had to consider how to get large slabs of stone into the loft without having to cut them up. When working with slabs, and especially when the design is as sleek and contemporary as this one, it’s vital to eliminate seams as much as possible. Elevators and stairs are often not large enough to handle large slabs of stone, which means there are only two other options: cutting the stone and putting it back together on site (but this will create a seam, so it’s not always an option) or using a crane to bring it in through a window.
Higher-end buildings tend to have more restrictions and management companies with stricter renovation guidelines – with good reason. A good relationship with the super and staff of the building is absolutely essential; effective communication with everyone involved will result in an ideal outcome for all parties.
ARTFUL LOGISTICS
Seemingly minor elements such as apartment protections are also just as crucial. While every renovation will require protections in hallways, common spaces, zip walls, and perhaps the floors, those protections are doubled when renovating in an apartment that’s currently occupied. In the case of this particular client, who owned a great deal of valuable artwork in addition to their furniture and other belongings, Gallery exacted their own form of art when putting the protections in place and maneuvering around them with skill.

A Beautiful Meandering Custom Staircase Creates a Stunning Impact
A steeply graded front yard is transformed with a beautiful custom meandering staircase down to the front entry that provides a true sense of arrival as it lulls guests through the landscape, allows for enjoyment of the space, and helps ease runoff flowing toward the house. Planted with beautiful natives and dressed with Texas hardwood mulch, large chunk blackstar gravel, and accented with limestone boulders excavated from the site, this blend of hardscape captivates the eye, adding visual interest all year 'round. A custom, contemporary metal hand railing adds a touch of modernity and a ton of safety, while the stairs themselves visually marry to the stone of the front porch.
Landscape lighting accents the hardscape and landscape of this project while providing safe lighting for maneuvering the stairway at night, and extended enjoyment of the entire property.

For this Wychwood Park complete bathroom rebuild, Carter Fox was hired to create a functional, accessible bathroom that did not look institutional or boring.
We opened up the original powder room/tub room layout, removing the interior doors to allow adequate space to maneuver, and created a wheelchair-accessible curbless shower room with a second sink (re-purposing the original) at bench height.

This ADA-compliant bathroom blends bold design with thoughtful accessibility. Vivid red walls create a dramatic, modern backdrop, contrasted by crisp white trim and large marble-look porcelain flooring that gives the space a bright, luxurious feel. The floating ADA sink allows full wheelchair accessibility, while the walk-in therapeutic tub—visible on the left—provides safe, independent bathing supported by discreetly placed grab bars. A large picture window fills the room with natural light, enhancing visibility and adding warmth to the space. Smooth, oversized floor tiles ensure easy wheelchair maneuvering and limit grout lines for simpler cleaning. Sleek chrome lighting, a sculptural black-framed mirror, and clean-lined fixtures elevate the room into a modern, wellness-oriented retreat designed for both independence and comfort.
