This outdoor patio and fireplace added much needed outdoor entertainment space to this South Hills residence. Unit masonry walls were used to carve out more space on this hillside lot. An exposed aggregate patio is now the location of a seating area, unit masonry fireplace and outdoor kitchen.

The clean lines give our Newport cast stone fireplace a unique modern style, which is sure to add a touch of panache to any home. This mantel is very versatile when it comes to style and size with its adjustable height and width. Perfect for outdoor living installation as well.

The Parisian echoes the easy informality of country French living. Inspired from an original fireplace acquired in France, this cast stone mantel features the combination of linear and fluid shapes to give an authentic aged appeal.

This rustic fireplace complemented the rustic interior and exterior of the home. The mantle was obtained on-line and made from reclaimed wood. The custom cabinet beside the fireplace has a burnt-finished look to further the rustic design for the home. The raised hearth was finished with hearth stones. A large wood storage unit built into the masonry fireplace was removed to create a smaller fireplace centered in the room. The masonry fireplace (that was originally clad in mauve colored marble) was covered with modern Realstone chiseled seashell. An architectural mantel feature was added above the fireplace. Custom built cabinetry create more storage and house the entertainment unit. To add continuity, the front bar front was clad in the same stone as the fireplace. LED strip lights where added under the bar top to highlight the stone. Durable hickory pre-finished hardwood floors were installed throughout the space. Photography by Barry Gardner
