This is an example of a contemporary landscaping in Charlotte.

Small space living solutions are used throughout this contemporary 596 square foot tiny house. Adjustable height table in the entry area serves as both a coffee table for socializing and as a dining table for eating. Curved banquette is upholstered in outdoor fabric for durability and maximizes space with hidden storage underneath the seat. Kitchen island has a retractable countertop for additional seating while the living area conceals a work desk and media center behind sliding shoji screens. Calming tones of sand and deep ocean blue fill the tiny bedroom downstairs. Glowing bedside sconces utilize wall-mounting and swing arms to conserve bedside space and maximize flexibility.

The back garden is grounded with multiple seating and entertaining areas, enclosed with large perennial beds featuring shades of purples. Each turn around the garden, high lights a different vista or focal point. From the golf course in the distance, water features or bountiful blooms.

Inspiration for a scandinavian kitchen remodel in San Francisco

When designer Rachel Peterson of Simply Baths, Inc. first met this young, stylish couple at their house they had a small handful of items they knew they really wanted in their master bathroom: a freestanding tub, a chandelier, a larger shower and more counter space. But the truth was, the bath needed a major face-lift. The space was outdated and lacked personality. It certainly didn't reflect the homeowners and their elegant aesthetic. The combination of stone and wood tiles lends just enough of a rustic flair to bring a little bit of the outdoors in and while helping to balance some of the feminine elements in the room with simple masculine touches.

Today's open-living concepts integrate rooms, and allow uninterrupted sight-lines within the living space and on to the world outside. Cirrus won't get in the way. It is discrete, virtually out of sight, masquerading as a high tech lighting system. Cirrus lives above, gently touching the ceiling as clouds touch the sky. Cirrus features the exclusive iQ Blower System for the quietest, most energy efficient and fastest smoke and odor removal available in range hoods. Masquerading behind a contemporary facade, the vintage industrial design of Globe Electric's Navah 6-Light Sputnik Chandelier is a true example of diversity. Strategically placed arms create a dramatic yet asymmetric line while the straight tube bulbs even out the look. A contemporary chrome finish marries an eccentric shape to create an uniquely vintage industrial piece. The irregular symmetry of the sculptural design is highlighted beautifully in a dining room, living room or stairwell.
