A ground floor mudroom features a center island bench with lots storage drawers underneath. This bench is a perfect place to sit and lace up hiking boots, get ready for snowshoeing, or just hanging out before a swim. Surrounding the mudroom are more window seats and floor-to-ceiling storage cabinets made in rustic knotty pine architectural millwork. Down the hall, are two changing rooms with separate water closets and in a few more steps, the room opens up to a kitchenette with a large sink. A nearby laundry area is conveniently located to handle wet towels and beachwear. Woodmeister Master Builders made all the custom cabinetry and performed the general contracting. Marcia D. Designed to embrace an extensive and unique art collection including sculpture, paintings, tapestry, and cultural antiquities, this modernist home located in north Scottsdale’s Estancia is the quintessential gallery home for the spectacular collection within. The primary roof form, “the wing” as the owner enjoys referring to it, opens the home vertically to a view of adjacent Pinnacle peak and changes the aperture to horizontal for the opposing view to the golf course. Deep overhangs and fenestration recesses give the home protection from the elements and provide supporting shade and shadow for what proves to be a desert sculpture. The restrained palette allows the architecture to express itself while permitting each object in the home to make its own place. The home, while certainly modern, expresses both elegance and warmth in its material selections including canterra stone, chopped sandstone, copper, and stucco.

Inspiration for a large contemporary dining room remodel in San Francisco with multicolored walls and no fireplace
Inspiration for a large contemporary dining room remodel in San Francisco with multicolored walls and no fireplace

This bathroom is part of a new Master suite construction for a traditional house in the city of Burbank.
The space of this lovely bath is only 7.5' by 7.5'
Going for the minimalistic look and a linear pattern for the concept.
The floor tiles are 8"x8" concrete tiles with repetitive pattern imbedded in the, this pattern allows you to play with the placement of the tile and thus creating your own "Labyrinth" pattern.
The two main bathroom walls are covered with 2"x8" white subway tile layout in a Traditional herringbone pattern.
The toilet is wall mounted and has a hidden tank, the hidden tank required a small frame work that created a nice shelve to place decorative items above the toilet.
You can see a nice dark strip of quartz material running on top of the shelve and the pony wall then it continues to run down all the way to the floor, this is the same quartz material as the counter top that is sitting on top of the vanity thus connecting the two elements together.
For the final touch for this style we have used brushed brass plumbing fixtures and accessories.

Teal is the operative color here: it's echoed in the overdyed hand knotted Persian rug, glass tile backsplash, velvet ottoman and accent wall. It can also be found in the glass tile barrel vault ceiling, which enlarges this already spacious master bathroom.
