Central entrance into the residence brings you to an open dining and lounge space, with natural light flooding in through rooftop skylights. Soaring ceilings and subdued color palettes give the adjacent kitchen and living room an airy and expansive feeling, while the large, sliding glass doors and picture windows bring the warmth of the outdoors in. The family room, located in one of the two zinc-clad connector spaces, offers a more intimate lounge area and leads into the master suite wing, complete with vaulted ceilings and sleek lines. Three additional guest suites can be found in the opposite wing of the home, providing ideally separate living spaces for a multi-generational family.

Trace Ventures Holdings, LLCThe accomplished physician and owner of this 1920’s bungalow wanted us to transform her second story into one large master retreat, where she could relax in an elegant and soothing setting.
The plan we designed and built called for gutting the upstairs, re-configuring the stairs, and carving out attic space for closets.
The upstairs consisted of a master bedroom with sitting alcove, master bath and closet, and separate media room with a wet bar. Opulent details and custom built-ins abound, including remote-controlled lighting and window shades, a curved cased opening, furniture-grade cabinetry in every room, Jerusalem Gold honed marble counter tops, onyx sinks, and mosaic tile as artwork. In the media room, a niche in the wall allowed the television to be pulled out for watching or pushed back flush when not in use.

TOMHILL STUDIOA feminine but tailored Master Bathroom for a single, professional, woman in the city. The stain-grade vanity cabinet is to feel like a furniture piece while the remaining cabinetry is painted light grey. The center custom mirror camouflages a medicine cabinet and two matching mirrors flank each side. The vanity area now feels like a dressing room.
Mixing metals (golds and polished nickel) along with crystal knobs bring sparkle and reflection which help to brighten up this room which is on the lowest level of the home.

By nestling a freestanding tub in the corner with a killer 3 light pendant chandelier above, this allowed us to increase the shower size to include double shower heads and a massive rain head. A marble "picket" tile creates a dramatic backdrop for the custom white oak double vanity.
