This once dated master suite is now a bright and eclectic space with influence from the homeowners travels abroad. We transformed their overly large bathroom with dysfunctional square footage into cohesive space meant for luxury. We created a large open, walk in shower adorned by a leathered stone slab. The new master closet is adorned with warmth from bird wallpaper and a robin's egg blue chest. We were able to create another bedroom from the excess space in the redesign. The frosted glass french doors, blue walls and special wall paper tie into the feel of the home. In the bathroom, the Bain Ultra freestanding tub below is the focal point of this new space. This master bathroom was large and awkward, with faux Grecian columns flanking a huge corner tub. He prefers showers; she always bathes. This traditional bath had an outdated appearance and had not worn well over time. The owners sought a more personalized and inviting space with increased functionality. The new design provides a larger shower, free-standing tub, increased storage, a window for the water-closet and a large combined walk-in closet. A refreshing wet room is the highlight of this spacious master bath. Understated quartz walls make an elegant statement accented with gold hardware and chandelier lighting. The double vanity features a central wall niche with shelves, which can be used both for plants and decorative objects as well as easy access to daily items. Slender pendant lights and simple framed mirrors add finishing touches to the vanity wall. A guest bath is enlivened with teal wall tile for the shower which is carried around the window. A contemporary marble trough sink brings a touch of luxury to this revitalizing master bathroom space. A guest bath features a marble trough sink with vertically stacked, green subway tiles.
