This incredible master suite is custom everywhere you look. Debra specified -Espresso wood floors with warm/cool grey rugs. an Italian Minotti Yang bed against a 3-D concrete porcelain tile headwall capped in stone. Ochre lights selected by the owner from TOWN are the night stand jewel reading lights along with a single wave crystal drop chandelier above the headwall. You experience the natural stone on the columns and an open curving wood ceiling and exposed stained beams. Debra designed custom netted gray drapes to create four corners to balance an asymmetrical room. In addition windows are covered with gorgeous soft gray sheer roll shades with separate black out shades all Lutron motorized. The room has a featured concrete style porcelain tile feature wall and concrete desk. A Ligne Roset settee to top it off. The room makes an impact to anyone who has not seen it. It takes them aback the moment they walk in. Comments range from 'I'm speechless' to 'wow' to ' incredible'.

This family’s intention was clear – to create a well-functioning home for their busy family that will continue to be just as well-functioning in the future. With a wish list that included open kitchen and dining spaces, a guest bedroom, and a fresh, modernized master suite, this renovation left the owners delighted. The shifting of the kitchen created a mudroom area resulting in a happy landing space for the family returning from activities. The new mudroom casts a warm glow with an ample black walnut-topped bench. Handsfree entering the kitchen, the large island and coffered ceiling well defines this space. The cook’s Lacanche Saulieu black enamel range is a show-stopper, topped off with a uniquely custom maple hood. A pleasant hideaway, the Benjamin Moore wrought iron painted cabinetry and shelving in the butler’s pantry is both practical and pretty with a quick peek out to the backyard. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were reenergized with new tile, fixtures, and updated a/v. A Newburyport Blue vanity makes for a cheery children’s bath. A more sophisticated black satin vanity in the master bath compliments the basketweave tile rug created in cool and classy Walker Zanger stone tile. Lit from above, the frameless medicine cabinet mirrors’ simplicity let the gunmetal faucets ‘shine’. Down the hall, the family laundry room’s charming tile and easy function gives hope that every family member will chip in with the chores.

An outstanding collection of Art Deco furnishings, lighting, artwork, and accessories imbues this full-floor, Lake Shore Drive condominium with uncommon presence. Tailored in style and masculine in hue, it cocoons even as it welcomes light and views. Macassar ebony millwork and travertine floors evince its luxurious architectural side; sumptuous materials including silk velvet, cashmere, and shagreen articulate exquisite decorative elegance – as do pashmina draperies and parchment-covered walls. Also climbing walls: poetry, in this case written by the owner’s son and artistically hand-lettered by a local artisan. Layered in the extreme and collected over time, interiors exemplify the owner’s vocation as a jewelry designer, avocation as a world traveler, and passion for detail in measures both large and small.
