This bathroom space was already functional in its layout, however, needed a fresh lease on style. After removing everything, our design team coordinated an amazing refresh on this space with the homeowners and came up with a traditional yet modern twist on renewing its look! Design-Build by Hatfield Builders & Remodelers. Photography by Versatile Imaging.

The owners of this 1958 mid-century modern home desired a refreshing new master bathroom that was open and bright. The previous bathroom felt dark and cramped, with dated fixtures. A new bathroom was designed, borrowing much needed space from the neighboring garage, and allowing for a larger shower, a generous vanity with integrated trough sink and a soaking tub.

What we did:
Outlined the furniture plan for the entire condo and then made sure everything came to life the way it was supposed to on paper.
Reworked the color scheme for the space and repainted:
We refreshed her kitchen by selecting a vibrant color backsplash.
The peanut butter colored walls in the office room just had to go. Nobody could work in there!
Custom designed the bedding in her master bedroom.
Installed Hunter Douglas window treatments, and custom drapery that provided her with stylish privacy.
Sourced all art and accessories for her space. We infused her amazing cultural collection with some added chicness.
What I LOVE:
The seagulls in her office. This was a perfect Etsy find.
Those nightstands in her bedroom - can you say AH-Mazing!
Her view. I was not personally responsible for that, but to work in that space was breathtaking!
Rashaanda said that her family loves her space and they really enjoyed the wine that I had delivered, just in time for Thanksgiving!

This bathroom exudes a sense of serene luxury and thoughtful design, inviting one to relax and rejuvenate. The light wood double vanity with its elegant marble countertop forms a calming centerpiece, its natural warmth softening the crisp modernity of the space. Twin mirrors, framed in sleek black, reflect light and create an illusion of expanded space, while the brass globe sconces cast a gentle, flattering glow that would be perfect for a relaxing evening routine.
There's a palpable balance between sophistication and comfort here. The brushed gold faucets add a touch of opulence without ostentation, their warm tones echoing the inviting wood tones below. One can almost imagine the cool, smooth feel of the marble countertop and the satisfying weight of the black cabinet pulls.
The small framed artwork and potted plant bring life and personality to the space, hinting at the tastes of those who use this bathroom. These touches, along with the natural light streaming through the window, make the room feel lived-in and loved, rather than sterile or overly pristine.
Overall, this bathroom strikes a harmonious chord between functional and indulgent. It's a space that encourages lingering, whether for a refreshing morning start or a soothing wind-down at day's end. The thoughtful blend of textures, colors, and materials creates an atmosphere of understated elegance that would make daily rituals feel like a luxurious retreat.

A sleek and modern master bathroom with a focus on clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic. Light colored walls and gray floor tiles create a sense of airiness and spaciousness. A large window on the left wall next to the toilet allows for natural light to fill the room.
The bathroom features a double vanity with two sinks. The white porcelain sinks sit atop a floating vanity with a smooth finish, most likely lacking drawers or cabinets to maintain the minimalist look. A chrome faucet is mounted on each sink. To the right of the sinks is a white toilet.
On the far-right wall is a spacious walk-in shower enclosed by a glass door. The chrome shower hardware complements the faucets at the vanity. Recessed lighting provides illumination for the bathroom. Overall, the clean lines, neutral colors and focus on functionality create a modern and tranquil bathroom environment.

In our master bathroom, we wanted to refresh the design without changing the cabinetry or layout. Every piece of tile in this beautiful Santa Barbara-style home is intentional and unique. Starting with a unique floral tile that runs across the bathroom wall into the shower, where it meets our featured green subway tile laid in a herringbone pattern. The heated bathroom floor is a mix and match of different colored hexagons that pull colors from the shower wall and the floral design.
The newly chosen hardware is umbrio, a bronze finish with prominent copper highlights, and our plumbing fixtures are venetian bronze to match. The mirrors were reused and painted black to go with our backsplash. And last but not least a beautiful copper bathtub to bring it all together.
