A pressure balanced scald guard valve was used for the shower, and placed on the opposite wall of the shower head to allow the client easier access to the valve, and prevent her from having to move past the toilet to turn the shower on. A Moen Kingsley grab bar helps provide the client safe entry to the shower space.

The large walk-in shower, designed as a "wet room," sits adjacent to the soaking tub, creating an open and cohesive space. Full-length windows overlook the pool cabana, offering views and natural light from both the tub and shower. To ensure privacy, interior shutters were installed that allow for adjustable light control, giving the homeowners flexibility while maintaining a relaxing atmosphere. If the bathroom had faced the front yard, we might have opted for higher windows or glass block to increase privacy. Safety was a top priority in the design, particularly in the shower. A curbless shower design eliminates tripping hazards, and small tiles were used on the floor to improve grip. The client also chose a textured pale green tile for the shower walls, adding a calming, soft touch to the overall design. To keep water contained in the wet room, we recommend glass panels with a door, though a floor-to-ceiling shower curtain on a ceiling track would also work well.

We installed a large display and surround system into this master bathroom. The lighting and media system are fully automated and able to access all of the streaming and entertainment capabilities of the home system.

Upstairs we made the layouts much more functional by making a few slight changes that had a very large impact.

This bathroom was designed as a surprise for my client's parent! An amazing and thoughtful gift anyone would be so happy to come home to. Function was our main focus in this design. We removed the large garden tub to accommodate a larger shower with a standing shower with body sprays and on the other end a seated area with a handheld shower wand for flexible shower options. Since function was so key in this master bath, we put an ample amount of shower niches in both showering areas for all the body products you could need at your fingertips. The previous window was too large and clear glass that gave no privacy so we replaced the window to give some privacy and added a frosted window for even more privacy. This allowed us to install decorative grab bars for safety without sacrificing style. A barrier free shower entrance creates an easy way to get in and out without the need for a shower door. A timeless design with some french style accents in a neutral color palette round out this bathroom. The shower floor tile give is some pattern to complement the white wall tile. Accent wall behind the vanity for some texture and pattern as well as keeping water from being splashed onto the drywall. For the main bathroom floor we went with a large 24" square rectified porcelain tile to give the look of a natural stone with a little variation for a natural look but much lower maintenance than natural stone. To top off the vanity, bench seat, sills and pony walls we did a warm grey and white quartz for a nice overall pattern, again something to keep with a more timeless look. This was a great project and such a great improvement not only to the house but to the daily life of the user!

Our clients requested a dramatic, yet classy look for their master and guest bathroom remodels. The clients desperately needed more storage space and wanted to maximize functionality. We were excited to share our ideas and design a timeless look that the clients could enjoy for many years. Our clients wanted the look of marble, without the maintenance of natural stone, in addition to a bold contrasting element within this space. The goal was to use similar materials throughout, but implement various patterns and textures to create a visual flow from one area to the next. To maximize storage and propose a contrasting element, we designed the cabinetry using maple cabinets with an Onyx finish for a classic look. Outback granite countertops were fabricated for the vanities. We installed the same granite on the tub deck and within the shower to create a smooth visual flow. The cabinet finish allowed the natural light from the window to provide colorful dimension to the overall look of the cabinets. The shower is wrapped in breathtaking porcelain slabs intended to look like marble, and provide little to no maintenance. The scope included removing an aging hot tub, demolishing an existing half wall, and replacing it with a modern aluminum cable railing system to improve views and safety. Areas of siding affected by the half wall were repaired and restored to create a clean, finished appearance. Due to moisture-related wear, 12 deck joists and their hangers were replaced as part of the structural rehabilitation.
