This modern lake house is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The residence overlooks a mountain lake with expansive mountain views beyond. The design ties the home to its surroundings and enhances the ability to experience both home and nature together. The entry level serves as the primary living space and is situated into three groupings; the Great Room, the Guest Suite and the Master Suite. A glass connector links the Master Suite, providing privacy and the opportunity for terrace and garden areas. Won a 2013 AIANC Design Award. Featured in the Austrian magazine, More Than Design. Located in Phoenix, Arizona’s idyllic Arcadia neighborhood, the home gives a nod to the area’s citrus orchard history. Echoing the past while embracing current millennial design expectations, this just-complete speculative family home hosts four bedrooms, an office, open living with a separate “dirty kitchen”, and the Stone Bar. Positioned in the Northwestern portion of the site, the Stone Bar provides entertainment for the interior and exterior spaces. With retracting sliding glass doors and windows above the bar, the space opens up to provide a multipurpose playspace for kids and adults alike. Nearly as eyecatching as the Camelback Mountain view is the stunning use of exposed beams, stone, and mill scale steel in this grass roots exploration of farmhouse architecture. White painted siding, white interior walls, and warm wood floors communicate a harmonious embrace in this soothing, family-friendly abode. A country club respite for our busy professional Bostonian clients. Our clients met in college and have been weekending at the Aquidneck Club every summer for the past 20+ years. The condos within the original clubhouse seldom come up for sale and gather a loyalist following. Our clients jumped at the chance to be a part of the club's history for the next generation. Much of the club’s exteriors reflect a quintessential New England shingle style architecture. The internals had succumbed to dated late 90s and early 2000s renovations of inexpensive materials void of craftsmanship. Our client’s aesthetic balances on the scales of hyper minimalism, clean surfaces, and void of visual clutter. Our palette of color, materiality & textures kept to this notion while generating movement through vintage lighting, comfortable upholstery, and Unique Forms of Art. A Full-Scale Design, Renovation, and furnishings project.
