The Master Bath followed suit in neutral colors with an emphasis on textures and classic details. The same tile was used on the floor as on the shower walls. In this Master Suite Renovation, our clients wanted a Serene Retreat at the end of the day. Their style was a combination of Refine Rustic and Old World Elegnce. The Master Bed and Light Fixure were items from their previous home, as was the Settee in Her Closet. We balanced the weight of the bed with a chair and ottoman in one corner and drapery that was darker than the walls. We papered the walls in a Fine-gauge Sisal to wrap the room in warmth, the rest of the fabrics and linens were in neutral Taupe, Gray and White, adding just the right amount of contrast. This master bath’s extremely generous shower is wrapped in Calcutta marble subway tile and is highlighted with soft green glass tiles as a border accent and as glass shelves in the shampoo niche. My clients fell in love with the bronze sculptures that double as stools , when thy saw them in my Designer showhouse room. They were the inspiration for this Vision in beige master bedroom. The oversized stripes helped to get control of the overwhelming size of the room.
