The view from the master bedroom is amazing. You can step out onto the large balcony to enjoy the sunset or sunrise, or simply lay in the custom finished bed from Habersham Plantation. Wide-plank pine floors adorn the floor of the suite and built-ins provide a place for books, a TV, family portraits and treasures. This floor was decorated with a refined cottage style in mind, although the large home rambles so it can’t be mistaken for a cottage. Custom draperies were created by Fringe Benefits. The client's purchased an 80's condo unit of the 4th floor. The main goal(s): To create a space suitable for aging-in-place and to successfully incorporate pre-existing furniture and decor from the client's previous home. The challenges: - To be able to fully incorporate existing furniture into a smaller space, as the client's had down-sized by moving into a condo unit. - Creating and providing a wide range of accessibility and universal design to accommodate certain health issues of one of the clients. When designing this transitional styled master bath renovation it was important to create a space that would allow convenience as well as comfortability. The cherry wood is emphasize in this master bath complimenting the tan/beige paint color and porcelain wall tile. This bathroom renovation offers convenience for the homeowners by providing a built-in television behind the vanity mirror, a charging station for all their electronic devices, a custom make-up vanity and a furniture style built-in linen cabinet for additional storage. The focus in this master bath renovation is the glass shower that accommodates two end users. This glass shower has a striking appearance with no threshold and a seamlessly transition. In this shower there is a bench for seating, decorative niches on the wall, and a dual shower system. Custom Surface Solutions (www.css-tile.com) - Owner Craig Thompson (512) 430-1215. This project shows new 12 x 24 tile installed vertically with offset layout pattern on wall and floor. Includes shower box with linear glass accent tile back and vertical glass accent band. Tile edges are finished with Schluter Jolly satin aluminum profile edge trim.

Full Home Renovation and Addition. Industrial Artist Style. We removed most of the walls in the existing house and create a bridge to the addition over the detached garage. We created an very open floor plan which is industrial and cozy. Both bathrooms and the first floor have cement floors with a specialty stain, and a radiant heat system. We installed a custom kitchen, custom barn doors, custom furniture, all new windows and exterior doors. We loved the rawness of the beams and added corrugated tin in a few areas to the ceiling. This master bed room provides a cozy seating area for this small family to cuddle up in front of the fireplace, on a cold evening. Walls are painted in a light camel color to compliment the wool damask area rug, Fireplace seating includes an English arm lounge chair and French settee. The ceiling is painted soft blue to mimic the toile drapes. A gas, cherry wood fireplace has a light blue marble surround. The custom headboard contrasts the ivory bed linens and ivory silk dust ruffle.

We chose a pedestal sink for this space because of the style, but wanted to make up for the lack of storage. We installed a mirrored medicine cabinet above the sink and built custom recessed shelves in the short wall to hold towels and baskets. Photo Credit: Jeff Smyth

db landscaping LLC was involved in designing a master plan for this Lake Sunapee property. Selective thinning of existing vegetation allowed for framed views of the lake and Mount Sunapee beyond without sacrificing privacy for the homeowners or the environmental integrity of this steep lakeside site. A new driveway alignment improved the arrival experience and improved function. A large gas fire pit was set within a natural stone patio with easy access to interior gathering spaces and fantastic perched views of the lake and mountain. Native plantings set amongst oversized stone boulders were used throughout the landscape to further enhance the natural beauty of the property.
