This is an organic Lime Wash done with a true lime wash product as opposed to a brick mortar or concrete that is often seen on new houses. This product can be applied as a solid coating making the surface completely white, or can be applied and "washed off" in many artistic ways, as seen here. This fun classic kitchen in Gold River features Columbia frameless cabinets in Sandy Hook grey. A green glass backsplash in a random matte and polished pattern complements the cabinets which are faced with both painted wood and frosted glass. The Silestone countertops in the Lyra finish have an ogee bullnose edge. The floors are finished in a rich brown porcelain tile of varying sizes that are made to resemble distressed wood. Basement - contemporary basement idea in Indianapolis

Working on this 1926 frat, I felt like we should be filming an episode of "This Old Frat House". The first room the Smith & Vansant team saw in the mothballed building when we came for the interview was this room. It was in rough condition, but there in rural northern New England was a groin vault! The alumni board had us study the whole house, to see if it was solid enough to save. After a lots of hard work in design and re-building by O'Hara Gercke we were able to keep not just the shell, but the character of this handsome old house. When our photographer Rob Karosis came to shoot glamor shots in the last week of the project this is the first room he entered.
