The homeowner was eager to update her dated kitchen into a modern yet functional space for both entertaining and cooking. The DEANE team worked to deliver a sophisticated, industrial vibe, leveraging unique materials and memorable accessories. The kitchen was outfitted with the full suite of SubZero/Wolf appliances and accessories to create a true chef’s kitchen for this family of six. The 48” range with griddle was a necessity, in addition to a convection oven, steam oven, and warming drawer. The decision was made to dedicate a refrigerator column to beverages with an independent ice maker by the beverage bar. The white powder-coated convex hood is accented with polished stainless steel metal strapping. It is flanked by cabinetry columns with integrated LED lighting on either side, which have been recessed into the wall, projecting slightly to feel like professional displays. Satin stainless steel drawer fronts with polished trim for dramatic effect shine on the lower cabinetry on the cooking wall as well as the display and upper cabinetry on the opposite wall, adding a mix of transitional white cabinetry for warmth and variety. The backsplash is a 2 1/2 x 10 1/2 ceramic tile installed in a contemporary ‘stacked’ pattern, balanced by Calacatta quartz countertops. A finishing touch was to replace wood floors with 2×2 ft porcelain tiles that are warmed by radiant heat.

A dated kitchen, cut off from the family room by a peninsula, gives a cluttered appearance with its lower ceiling and obstructive power post. Eliminating the peninsula allows for a sleek island with a waterfall edge and seating for 4, while raising the ceiling lifts the room, offering a continuous viewpoint and unity between the rooms. . By knocking out the walls of a small step-in pantry, a gorgeous bar area with upper glass display cabinets, floating shelves, a herringbone backsplash and a prep sink create a striking focal point and substantial workspace. Additionally, a wine fridge offers convenient access to beverages. A 36″ Thermador range takes center stage with a split backsplash. A convenient shelf for cooking necessities allows for a clean and open look on a shorter focal wall. The overall lighter, brighter color scheme dramatically refreshes the space, inviting you to come in. A brand new home is an opportunity to create from scratch and showcase the client’s style. This beautiful home backs onto the golf course providing gorgeous views while standing at the kitchen sink. The inspiration started from the helix mullion glass door cabinets. Careful attention to detail was given to create the layering of mouldings between the doors, crown, trims and base. Creating a streamline space was a necessity with a large kitchen. The distance between the fridge and sink is greater than normal but having a small sink on the island is incredibly helpful for preparation of meals. The follow of design between the kitchen and butler’s pantry was also important, and, was achieved with the use of helix doors.

This guest bath has a light and airy feel with an organic element and pop of color. The custom vanity is in a midtown jade aqua-green PPG paint Holy Glen. It provides ample storage while giving contrast to the white and brass elements. A playful use of mixed metal finishes gives the bathroom an up-dated look. The 3 light sconce is gold and black with glass globes that tie the gold cross handle plumbing fixtures and matte black hardware and bathroom accessories together. The quartz countertop has gold veining that adds additional warmth to the space. The acacia wood framed mirror with a natural interior edge gives the bathroom an organic warm feel that carries into the curb-less shower through the use of warn toned river rock. White subway tile in an offset pattern is used on all three walls in the shower and carried over to the vanity backsplash. The shower has a tall niche with quartz shelves providing lots of space for storing shower necessities. The river rock from the shower floor is carried to the back of the niche to add visual interest to the white subway shower wall as well as a black Schluter edge detail. The shower has a frameless glass rolling shower door with matte black hardware to give the this smaller bathroom an open feel and allow the natural light in. There is a gold handheld shower fixture with a cross handle detail that looks amazing against the white subway tile wall. The homeowner wanted a beverage area the was out of the genral traffic of the kitchen. We utilized an awkward (but structurally necessary) 28" wall by placing a beverage fridge and coffee maker on it. We ustomized a cabinet that featured sides and adrawer on top to hide away all the little necessities.

The homeowners desired a more usable layout with timeless appeal in keeping with their historic home. New vanity cabinets with smart storage replaced pedestal sinks. The custom built-in medicine cabinets provide additional spots for bathroom necessities. Classic finishes, black and white hex tile floors, and a soothing green keep the space looking fresh while tying it into the historic roots of the home.

Inspiration for a garage remodel in Other

Our homeowner had dreamt about one day redoing her beyond outdated kitchen since they day her husband carried her over the threshold. Vinyl flooring used for a backsplash, dingy carpeting, laminate with no sheen left to speak of and mismatched cabinetry…. it was time to make it happen. A year’s worth of planning later, her time capsule became one dreamy kitchen. Functionality reigns supreme in this small, but efficient kitchen where every cabinet has a story to tell and a place to store it. Countertop space to the right of the stove was an added necessity for function and safety. The raised snack bar is perfect for day to day meals and the lowered countertop was a must for this petite baker. A new lighting plan includes recessed lights, under-cabinet and accent lights, while new lighting fixtures reflect the client’s sense of style. Dingy brick patterned carpet was removed making way for new hardwood floors toothed in from the dining room. An airy palette gained some weight with the use of larger details; the oversized hood, beefy turned posts, prominent apron front sink and a grouping of tall cabinets on the refrigerator wall.
