Transformed from an old mill, soaring ceilings, large windows and original brick set the stage for this gorgeous loft apartment’s living room. Off-white walls complement the natural light that pours in through the windows which are dressed in taupe linen and banded in contrasting tangerine. Tangerine welt and brightly colored throw pillows in orange and aqua pop against the off-white chenille of the sofa and loveseat. Selected for their sparkle, glass lamps sit atop a pair of side tables which are finished in an eye-catching high gloss coral. In the center of the room sits a knarled root which has been topped with glass creating a clever cocktail table. Resting on the dark stained Asian console is an original artwork which captures the color palette for the space. White filigree vases add femininity and texture. A seafoam geometric patterned chair and ottoman along with aqua vases balance the strength of the delicious orange tones. A large sisal rug grounds the furniture and adds texture as does the large wicker basket at the end of the loveseat. Upon entering the living room of this colorful mid-century modern space you are greeted by light gray walls, a soft blue ceiling and crisp, white trim which provides the perfect backdrop for the graphic artwork on the wall. A vintage cocktail table with polished nickel base and Calcutta gold marble top provides an elegant resting place for books or a drink. Mid-century modern lounge chairs, one in caramel leather and one in gold leather, flank the sofa. Brightly patterned orange pillows break up the rich espresso brown leather of the sofa. Mismatched vintage lamps sit atop matching side tables. An orange shag rug tops the clear-coated hardwood floors which are original to the residence. Cloudy blue gray walls and ceiling along with charcoal gray door contrast beautifully against the white trim of this cozy master bedroom. The bed is covered in easy-breezy, washable linens in shades of deep blue-gray. Flanking the bed are a pair of handcrafted live-edge bedside table sans legs. Above each tabletop hangs an antique brass pendant c.1970. A pair of club chairs, also from the 1970s, offers the perfect place to relax or read. On the wall above the chairs hangs a brightly colored graphic painting that provides a punch of color, marrying perfectly with the watercolor that hangs above the bed. Both pieces pull the gold, orange and blue-gray tones of the room together. The modern fan above functions as art and provides air circulation.
