“Touring the clients’ home during the remodel process, it was immediately obvious that this would not be an ordinary garage project. Everything in the home was extraordinary; the sleek contemporary finishes, the ceiling heights. The quality of everything was incredible! As we walked through the kitchen and mudroom to the garage, I gasped at the beautiful sleek glossy red finish of the European black cabinets. Stunning. ‘I can do that in the garage’ I told her.” “She was so excited when I told her I could do black cabinets with Ruby Red Acrylic fronts to match her cabinets inside perfectly. Then she started to tell me all the requirements for this slightly oversized 2-car garage and that she was worried how I’d fit it all in. When I heard her list I became concerned, too. The Whitehall Penthouse Suite, winner of the Best Suite 2012 in the Hotel Design Awards, is designed with those who wield power and influence in mind, reserved grandeur shall we say. With dark limed oak panelling and red-leather-panelled bookshelves, the lounge and study have the genteel elegance of a refined gentlemen’s club, albeit with light contemporary touches. On the upper turreted floor, the king-sized bed stands on a sumptuous rug surrounded by the dark stained oak floor, tinted with a light lime wash. The bathroom features a walk-in shower encased in Nero Marquina stone and a bespoke Apaiser stone bathtub, with flooring formed from three varieties of marble. Outside, on the private terrace with views towards Whitehall and Big Ben, a giant chess set provides a diversion from the affairs of state or business. Worldly charm, statesman worthy luxury.

Are you ready to give your kitchen a much needed facelift? This project that was completed by Todd Whittaker Drywall Inc. (TWD) took an ordinary kitchen and refaced the lower cabinets, installed new upper cabinetry, added paneling to the existing kitchen island, as well as some specialty cabinet storage. The picture as shown includes the Canterbury door style in maple with a chocolate glaze done in as an Artisan #2 distressing package. This beautiful white kitchen is far from ordinary with its Maple wood recessed panels in Nordic White uniquely stacked and use of glass doors. To complete this kitchen we used Terra Bianca granite.

A spa-like, luxury mater bathroom can exist in a small space. Here a 6'x9' NYC bathroom space was transformed from ordinary to splendidly right for a couple relocating to the City. This bathroom renovation was part of a full-scale Manhattan apartment renovation. The existing bathroom space was slightly expanded by relocating two partitions and carefully balancing the space needs for the adjacent bedroom and living room.
