This path was constructed to connect the upper level of the house at street level to a small inland lake. The path itself consists of a light gray colored concrete fit into a multi level series of planters constructed of a modular concrete retaining wall block.

This is an example of a rustic full sun backyard stone flower bed in Vancouver.

The planting bed was seeded with cover crops including radish, wheat and clover to sustain the soil life until dwarf apples, cranberries and strawberries were available. Horseradish was planted in the background for a large leafy texture as well as to be used as a nutrient rich mulch when cut. Clover was included for nitrogen fixing, and a mix of flowers, including natives, to attract pollinators.
