Light pours into the kitchen from a trio of clerestory windows and a pair of backless, glass-fronted cabinets hung in front of exterior windows. A hidden pantry is accessed to the left of the Miele double ovens from Monark Premium Appliances. A quartet of Fine Art Lamps’ metal-framed pendants hangs from artisan square-link chains, spilling light from mica shades onto the dual islands topped with Cristallo quartzite. Swivel stools from Century in an aqua and white zebra print provide seating at the dining island. Wood-Mode custom maple cabinets in Vintage Nordic White line the walls. The range hood and island bases are Wood-Mode Heirloom Harbor Mist with Pewter Glaze, all from Tradewind Designs. The 3-by-12-inch stone backsplash brings in the colors of the cabinets and islands. A tile inset commands attention behind the Miele 5-burner gas cooktop also from Monark Premium Appliances.

This modern Spanish style white painted kitchen cabinets features a burgandy range and large island. Glazed cabinetry with Crema Marfil and Chateau brown leathered slabs. Hand made custom copper and iron range hood. Oak wood flooring and Andalusian tile complete the look. (Maraya's childhood home was one of the few that did not burn down!!!) Kitchen Craftsmen created this amazing Scandinavian styled kitchen and laundry for the Ferguson Family featuring Essastone Australia Carrara Matt bench tops that are scratch, stain and chemical resistant. Our favourite part is the Franke Australia Fragranite Sink in Onyx and the low-level cabinet fronts in Graphite Grey Createc by Polytec, which expertly contrast the light wooden floors and Natural Oak Ravine cabinets also by Polytec. Just when you thought you’d seen all this kitchen has to offer, inside the cabinets and drawers you will find an ultra-modern black texture finish, a great little touch that is sure to impress even your most discerning guests.

The raised panel, French blue cabinets are finished with a dark brown glazing. These are full overlay doors and drawers, constructed with high precision to maintain a 1/8” gap between every side of a door and drawer. Using Carrera marble subway tiles on the backsplash enhanced the Kashmir White granite on countertops. For the backsplash, marble tiles and listellos were carefully designed to create an arched top niche that mirrors the shape of the range hood opening and it doubles a space for storing spices and oils. A stunning modern farmhouse kitchen filled with exciting detail! We kept the cabinets on the traditional side, painted in pale sandy hues (reflecting the beachfront property). A glazed subway tile backsplash and newly placed skylight contrast with the detailed cabinets and create an updated look. The focal point, the rich blue kitchen island, is complemented with a dark wooden butcher block countertop, which creates a surprising burst of color and gives the entire kitchen a chic contemporary vibe. Because granite is 100% natural, and no two pieces are alike, (even the sample of granite you saw in making your choice will vary somewhat from what is installed in your home), your installed countertop will not have a uniform look, which appeals to some who like the one of a kind nature of the stone. Decide whether you are removing your cabinet doors and if you plan on painting the back side of the cabinet door, and the inside frame. When removing hardware, place all screws and hardware in plastic baggie for each door and set inside on a shelf. Clean your cabinets with Dixie Belle White Lightning! Lightly sand your cabinets to knock off its current glossy finish. Paint adheres better when you give them a little “tooth” or grip so the primer sticks to it. Wipe your cabinet down to remove the dust from sanding. Paint one simple coat of Dixie Belle’s BOSS primer for long lasting use over time. We call it our insurance and peace of mind policy.

The structural Douglas Fir post and ceiling beams set the tone along with the stain matched 2x6 pine tongue and groove ceiling –this also serves as the finished floor surface at the loft above. Dreaming a cozy feel at the kitchen/dining area a darker stain was used to visual provide a shorter ceiling height to a 9’ plate line. The knotty Alder floating shelves and wall cabinetry share their own natural finish with a chocolate glazing. The island cabinet was of painted maple with a chocolate glaze as well, this unit wanted to look like a piece of furniture that was brought into the ‘cabin’ rather than built-in, again with a value minded approach. The flooring is a pre-finished engineered ½” Oak flooring, and again with the darker shade we wanted to emotionally deliver the cozier feel for the space. Additionally, lighting is essential to a cook’s –and kitchen’s- performance. We needed there to be ample lighting but only wanted to draw attention to the pendants above the island and the dining chandelier. We opted to wash the back splash and the counter tops with hidden LED strips. We then elected to use track lighting over the cooking area with as small of heads as possible and in black to make them ‘go away’ or get lost in the sauce.

In this kitchen we installed Waypoint Livingspaces cabinets on the perimeter is 702F doorstyle in Painted Hazelnut Glaze and on the island is 650F doorstyle in Cherry Java accented with Amerock Revitilize pulls and Chandler knobs in oil rubbed bronze. On the countertops is Giallo Ornamental 3cm Granite with a 4” backsplash below the microwave area. On the wall behind the range is 2 x 8 Brickwork tile in Terrace color. Kichler Avery 3 pendant lights were installed over the island. A Blanco single bowl sink in Biscotti color with a Moen Waterhill single handle faucet with the side spray was installed. Three 18” time weathered Faux wood beams in walnut color were installed on the ceiling to accent the kitchen.

We painted the existing wood cabinets in this house because the wood tone was outdated for this home. The cost savings of painting VS getting new cabinets, allowed us to get new granite counters, mosaic marble backsplash and new lighting. Adding the cabinet hardware updated the look as well for resale

This white-on-white kitchen design has a transitional style and incorporates beautiful clean lines. It features a Personal Paint Match finish on the Kitchen Island matched to Sherwin-Williams "Threshold Taupe" SW7501 and a mix of light tan paint and vibrant orange décor. These colors really pop out on the “white canvas” of this design. The designer chose a beautiful combination of white Dura Supreme cabinetry (in "Classic White" paint), white subway tile backsplash, white countertops, white trim, and a white sink. The built-in breakfast nook (L-shaped banquette bench seating) attached to the kitchen island was the perfect choice to give this kitchen seating for entertaining and a kitchen island that will still have free counter space while the homeowner entertains. A new contemporary kitchen for a family that loves to cook. The owners ' European preferences lead to the selection of the German made cabinets by Bulthaup. The crisp cabinet styling and sophisticated engineering allowed for a clean, minimal style. White cabinets and backsplash defined the walls. Darker cabinets and appliances defined areas of focus.
