This is an example of a small contemporary drought-tolerant and full sun front yard raised garden bed in San Francisco.

I've been slowly but surely training this edible fig for nearly 20 years into the glorious espalier it has become. It's on the west facing exterior of my house in the sunny Mission District of SF. The stucco holds the heat and allows the fruit to get SWEET and juicy. Since i'ts on the sidewalk, it's quite the show stopper and conversation starter. In fact when I prune I schedule double the time I really need because the neighbors and passerby need to talk! I get endless compliments but also many stories from people about their grandmas or great uncles fig and associated memories.

This project shows the remodel of a small 1950's vintage home master bathroom. 8"" x 18" Calcutta gold marble tile was used on the shower walls and floor wall base and ceramic gray penny tile on the floor. Shower includes curbless pan / floor, dual shower boxes, frameless glass slider, trough duel fixture sink and chrome fixtures.

The tile design above the stove centers this space and delicately embellishes the imported Italian tiled backsplash that flows throughout this open lower level kitchen.
