Our client was looking for a tranquil master bedroom retreat that payed homage to their love of the beach! Located on the shores of Lake Erie there was an abundance of inspiration as evidenced by the final results.

A retro 1950’s kitchen featuring green custom colored cabinets with glass door mounts, under cabinet lighting, pull-out drawers, and Lazy Susans. To contrast with the green we added in red window treatments, a toaster oven, and other small red polka dot accessories. A few final touches we made include a retro fridge, retro oven, retro dishwasher, an apron sink, light quartz countertops, a white subway tile backsplash, and retro tile flooring. Tara Benet Design design and staged this 15 unit new development in a former church located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The design features 21st century finishes and amenities, while paying homage to the development’s historical past.

Built in library shelves provide separation and a chance to show off our client's admirable collection. Having removed the original wall separating the living and kitchen spaces, we chose to install the exposed and beautifully stained beam, which helps to maintain some divide between the two rooms. This light and airy kitchen is the definition of elegance. It has white shaker cabinets with satin gold pulls topped with white quartz counters. The matching white quartz backsplash provides a clean look. The center piece of the room is the large island!
