Site Plan. A series of freestanding walls are set within the wooded site. The front of the house is itself one of the walls. The walls curate the visitor's procession from the street to the living room. The house is set far back from the street and is hidden within the live oaks and juniper that inhabit the site. As one enters the site on the crushed granite driveway the house is still invisible. Visitors park against a long wall that defines the parking area and screens the well house, water cistern, and propane tank. It guides the visitor toward an opening between walls that leads to a clearing in front of the house.

This was a full backyard 'makeover' in Brooklyn NY. My clients and I collaborated on the design, and I build the entire space with the assistance of my team: Cedar fence, cedar deck, brick and bluestone patio. watch a time lapse video of this project and others at http://coirewilliams.com/landscaping-video-gallery

Antique Italian Basalt is a dark, heavily textured stone with charcoal, slate, and weathered smoke tones. Natural cratering, worn hollows, and eased edges give it a rugged, aged character, making it ideal for mudrooms, garden walkways, and pool decks. Pierre Bleue is a reinterpretation of a Neolith classic: Belgian Blue. Inspired by the natural stone known as “le Petit Granit”, the décor is the result of employing the latest techniques in Neolith Full Body and NDD technologies. Integrating numerous rock elements through the entire grey-blue body, Pierre Bleue stands out for its high degree of definition and realism.

Calacatta Black Marble is a Marble with a polished finish. This Italian stone has a consistent balance of the white background with gray veining that fades into subtle light gray tones. This consistency gives the stone its handsome qualities making it a sophisticated choice for any space. Calacatta Black Marble is suitable for kitchen countertops and bathroom counters.

The goal of this landscape design and build project was to mitigate run-off from a steep hillside as well as to beautify the front foundation planting at a condo complex in South Boston. This design features a traditional approach to the front walkway using a mix of evergreen and deciduous shrubs, an oramental weeping tree, and a mix of perennials. Along the slope, our approach was to utilize a mix of grasses to hold soil and also to create swathes of color during the Fall season. Designed and built by Skyline Landscapes, LLC.

Scott & Catherine Buley. HTT&T, High Tech Turf & Trees, LandscapeMakeover.biz, Rain Garden Nursery. BASALT stone bank "planted" at a 45 degree angle on this slope we created to maintain an enlarged seating area above with EcoLawn. The area immediately beneath this is one of 3 Tiered Rain Gardens, all connected by a natural looking Spring-Fed Creek. We are purposely growing moss on these stones to enhance the pre-existing natural stone look. These Basalt stones are further supported by heavy duty burlap. We've also interplanted this area with drought tolerant succulents, including Sedum.
