This tiny home is located on a treelined street in the Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver. We helped our client create a living and dining space with a beach vibe in this small front room that comfortably accommodates their growing family of four. The starting point for the decor was the client's treasured antique chaise (positioned under the large window) and the scheme grew from there. We employed a few important space saving techniques in this room... One is building seating into a corner that doubles as storage, the other is tucking a footstool, which can double as an extra seat, under the custom wood coffee table. The TV is carefully concealed in the custom millwork above the fireplace. Finally, we personalized this space by designing a family gallery wall that combines family photos and shadow boxes of treasured keepsakes. Miami sectional from Cierre.
At the beginning, Cierre was a project undertaken by two persons that in the middle of the seventies made this dream become true along with their own family. Today Cierre is a dynamic reality within the European tradition, where "Family Business" play a key role in the country's economic growth and represent the "Made in Italy" design. Year after year, the leather upholstered furniture have developed a new trend. The new collections have resulted in creative projects, combining elegance with high quality, arts and techniques following this idea, we have started to design all our products as icons of contemporary life. Expressions of time. Sublimations of space.

At RCID, we don’t typically take on commercial projects—but when a returning client invited us to reimagine the lobby of their condo building at 225 25th Ave SW in Calgary, we couldn’t resist the opportunity. In collaboration with Crafted Edge Homes, we set out to bring a warmer, more residential feel to the common spaces of Riverscape, transforming them into areas that welcome residents home. Every floor above was painted using a unique technique to subtly draw attention to individual doors, giving each level its own personality while maintaining cohesion throughout the building.

In this deluxe concept for a spa bath, original inlaid Moroccan furniture is placed in front of a green wall plastered with the traditional Tadelakt technique. Used in the palaces, hammams and bathrooms of Morocco, it is a nearly waterproof plaster. Special Moroccan lime is applied to the walls which are then finished with river rocks and treated with a soft black or olive oil soap for water resistance. The beauty lies in the glowing, soft undulating touch of the individual artisan. The project was created by the Gessi Design Studio.
