With its interesting mix of contemporary design and contrasting selections, this newly remodeled home reflects a personal and refreshing approach.
This inviting home offers inspiration and subtle surprises around every corner. The overall white palette is the perfect backdrop to balance the dark, high gloss red oak floors and the large windows with garden views.
The exquisite black lacquered hutch is unexpected, yet perfectly complements the kitchen’s chrome fixtures, matte white custom cabinets, and the stainless steel appliances and shelves. A beautiful assortment of marble countertops, walls and tiled floors evoke modern and traditional styling throughout the kitchen and powder room. The interesting mix of art, antiques and modern furniture reflects the owners personal style and distinctive approach.

A formal living room becomes more useful when the furniture supports everyday routines. The open space around these small tables keeps the seating area approachable, while the quiet upholstery allows the artwork and colorful accessories to give the room its personality.

From grand estates, to exquisite country homes, to whole house renovations, the quality and attention to detail of a "Significant Homes" custom home is immediately apparent. Full time on-site supervision, a dedicated office staff and hand picked professional craftsmen are the team that take you from groundbreaking to occupancy. Every "Significant Homes" project represents 45 years of luxury homebuilding experience, and a commitment to quality widely recognized by architects, the press and, most of all....thoroughly satisfied homeowners. Our projects have been published in Architectural Digest 6 times along with many other publications and books. Though the lion share of our work has been in Fairfield and Westchester counties, we have built homes in Palm Beach, Aspen, Maine, Nantucket and Long Island.

These South Shore of Boston Homeowners approached the Team at Renovisions to power-up their powder room. Their half bath, located on the first floor, is used by several guests particularly over the holidays. When considering the heavy traffic and the daily use from two toddlers in the household, it was smart to go with a stylish, yet practical design.
Wainscot made a nice change to this room, adding an architectural interest and an overall classic feel to this cape-style traditional home. Installing custom wainscoting may be a challenge for most DIY’s, however in this case the homeowners knew they needed a professional and felt they were in great hands with Renovisions. Details certainly made a difference in this project; adding crown molding, careful attention to baseboards and trims had a big hand in creating a finished look.
The painted wood vanity in color, sage reflects the trend toward using furniture-like pieces for cabinets. The smart configuration of drawers and door, allows for plenty of storage, a true luxury for a powder room. The quartz countertop was a stunning choice with veining of sage, black and white creating a Wow response when you enter the room.
The dark stained wood trims and wainscoting were painted a bright white finish and allowed the selected green/beige hue to pop. Decorative black framed family pictures produced a dramatic statement and were appealing to all guests.
The attractive glass mirror is outfitted with sconce light fixtures on either side, ensuring minimal shadows.
The homeowners are thrilled with their new look and proud to boast what was once a simple bathroom into a showcase of their personal style and taste.
"We are very happy with our new bathroom. We received many compliments on it from guests that have come to visit recently. Thanks for all of your hard work on this project!"

Simultaneously comfortable and elegant, this executive home makes excellent use of Showplace Cabinetry throughout its open floor plan. The contrasting design elements found within this newly constructed home are very intentional, blending bright and clean sophistication with splashes of earthy colors and textures. In this home, painted white kitchen cabinets are anything but ordinary.
Visually stunning from every angle, the homeowners have created an open space that not only reflects their personal sense of informed design, but also ensures it will feel livable to younger family members and approachable to their guests. A home where sweet little moments will create lasting memories.

When our clients approached us to renovate their 1950s Newfoundland home, their goal was to modernize while reflecting both their West Coast roots and current East Coast lifestyle. What began as a simple ensuite repair expanded into a full home transformation, completed in two thoughtfully phased renovations. Drawing from our cross-coastal experience—and a personal connection to the home’s past—we blended classic East Coast charm with West Coast simplicity. From reworking the layout and finishes to integrating their art collection and layering in warm, tactile materials, every detail was designed to feel cohesive, inviting, and deeply personal.

Eclectic style is a dynamic approach to design that embraces an unconventional blend of elements. It reflects modern tastes by combining diverse styles, materials, and colors that might not traditionally go together, resulting in a fresh and unique aesthetic. Unlike contemporary interiors, which favor clean, straight-lined foundational pieces, eclectic interiors celebrate variety and contrast, allowing for a mix-and-match approach that creates a distinctive and personalized look.
