Wanting to add some zing to this traditional powder room we used a color not usually used in the rest of the home. Because people spend a short amount of time in a powder room it enables you to go bolder with your wall treatment choices. The awkward niche space was filled in nicely with an industrial pharmacy cabinet, found at a Round Top antique show. Touches of bronze bring it all together. Kaskel Photo

Atlanta is a city known in the South for its abundant shopping. The Atlanta area is home to one of the South's largest shopping malls, the Mall of Georgia, located in nearby Gwinnett County. Do you shop in Atlanta's North Georgia Premium Outlets? An Atlanta-based private equity group paid an undisclosed amount for the 58,000-square-foot center. The shopping center was 98 percent leased at the time of the sale. In addition to Publix, CVS/Pharmacy is a co-anchor tenant. Or try the North Point Mall, a super-regional shopping mall, located in Alpharetta, Georgia (a suburb of Atlanta). The mall opened October 3, 1993 as one of the largest shopping malls in the country.

Michael wanted new furnishings and accessories to redesign his master bedroom to reflect his personal style. A lover of walnut, he had selected a gorgeous modern bed and needed to fill the space with furnishings and décor to complement it. He loved warm, rustic organic elements and also had an affinity for giraffes!
Walnut nightstands and a live edge walnut console table were selected to coordinate with the beautiful headboard. A reading corner was created with a rustic chair, leather ottoman, pharmacy floor lamp and a wall tapestry for added textures. The handmade modern walnut-framed mirror was showcased in the other corner above greenery to bring the outside in. The oversized wall clock plays off of the circular mirror and fills the wall beautifully as a striking piece of art. And of course, the room wouldn’t be complete without the 6-foot-tall wooden giraffe to greet him every day!

The master bedroom projects a decidedly more serene air, with neutral gray and pale eggplant colors providing the backdrop. The carpet and velvet drapes are from RH, the sofa is by Calligaris, the leather-topped side table is by Barclay Butera, and the credenza at right is from IKEA. The stone Buddha at right was purchased in Tokyo.
