Tracy Hines photo credit This is a large old Physician Examine table from my husbands great grandfather. It was used around the 1925 to about 1960's . My husbands mom used it as a craft table when he was growing up. The wreath I made from floras I picked up at Hobby Lobby. The pots came from Michaels and I faux painted them and wrapped them in faux moss. They are sitting on a old antique shelf I picked up many years ago. I change out this table with the seasons and as flowers come and go.

We were honored to be asked by this recently retired aerospace employee and soon to be retired physician’s assistant to design and remodel their kitchen and dining area. Since they love to cook – they felt that it was time for them to get their dream kitchen. They knew that they wanted a traditional style complete with glazed cabinets and oil rubbed bronze hardware. Also important to them were full height cabinets. In order to get them we had to remove the soffits from the ceiling. Also full height is the glass backsplash. To create a kitchen designed for a chef you need a commercial free standing range but you also need a lot of pantry space. There is a dual pull out pantry with wire baskets to ensure that the homeowners can store all of their ingredients. The new floor is a caramel bamboo.

Relaxing Farmhouse design. Front living room and dining room. This is the perfect place for my client-physician, wife and mom to wind down after a long day. These two rooms were your typical drop off rooms. The primary need was storage and style. This is an beautiful historical home with no foyer or hall closet. I added a eye catching arch cabinet that helps hide shoes and coats. I love how the arch design breaks up all of the square angle floor plan. I found a great deal on the 2 timeless design swivel chairs. A fun coffee table/storage ottoman adds additional storage. The large chair and half and ottoman allows for hours of snuggles and reading. The fireplace is now a focal point with new stylish battery wall sconces. Long airy linen panels soften the new woven shades- lining for privacy. The family piano is now appreciated and ready for years of playing.

Custom furniture from local craftsmen features simple volumes in wood and white tones that evoke a sense of both the natural and the minimal. Robust yet luxurious, child- and pet-friendly materials dress the interior. The kitchen and dining room were united into one open entertaining space at the heart of the home. Composite countertops chosen to match the existing stone window sills allot ample workspace and serve as a buffet for the adjacent dining room. There, a custom-crafted table and floating shelf provide a neutral canvas for soirées, while mid-century chairs and a dry floral arrangement by a local ikebana artist add a spray of color. The kitchen entrance was transformed into a virescent, multi-purpose pantry corridor, complete with integrated refrigerator and freezer.
