Creative layouts and material usage can incorporate year-round vegetable harvests in an aesthetically pleasing way. Perennial fruit trees, along with bushes and herbs, create a lush space full of beautiful, colors, textures, smells and tastes. Searching out and experimenting with different and rare varieties of edible plants keeps home gardens interesting. Edible landscaping gives access to food at its freshest, when it is most nutritious, and offers many more options than supermarket produce sections—also cutting down on transportation and packaging impacts. This was a main floor interior design and renovation. Included opening up the wall between kitchen and dining, trim accent walls, beamed ceiling, stone fireplace, wall of windows, double entry front door, hardwood flooring.

Purple columbine is a variety of native columbine, Aquilegia canadensis. Columbine is lovely in rock or woodland gardens and once established is generally drought-tolerant.

This is a beautiful door designed by one of our talented customers! How perfect is a door that can hold your plants and be used like a barn door! This is the perfect decor idea as well as space saver! We love how this project turned out!

A nice view of the custom steel veggie beds - plenty of chard here! Dry set flagstones are inter-planted with Kurapia ground cover, both low water and low maintenance. This was a great little design-build project for some great clients! We oversaw the construction of the shed, designed and built the pergola, deck, outdoor kitchen, water feature, flagstone patio, as well as installing the plants, irrigation and landscape lighting. So pretty at night!
