Kitchen - contemporary kitchen idea

We love this project. In the heart of Newburyport with a small outdoor space, this came out great! Historic granite and cobblestone were used for the patio and walkways. An elevated deck was added for extra seating and any custom features like the cedar fencing and an Asian inspired garden completed this urban outdoor space.

A large patio above includes a fireplace made of local stone. Steps move gently down the slope to a smaller, more intimate patio. All stone walls are of a seat wall height, allowing for plenty of impromptu gatherings. The family's farm pond is at the bottom of the slope and visible from much of the project. All stone work is created from stone sourced off the farm. Patio surfaces are bluestone.

Custom patchwork cowhide rug made in natural hides, especially for Jeannie. She came with an idea and sketch for a custom rug for her vacation home in Aspen, CO. Once the final design was decided, we selected may hides that would look very similar between one another and cut every patch by hand. This is the result of a very custom, handcrafted, special job! :)
