Ourso DesignsThis client was in need of her own efficient home office. Her husband works from home, and she has plans to retire and continue to work from home as well. She already had an office but it lacked the storage that she needed. She came to us with an inspiration photo that we were able to recreate for her. She wanted space for display as well as closed storage and filing drawers. We also included 2 spaces for printers with sliding drawers for easy access. The client also wanted the center to house a record player and audio system. The middle cabinets have a metal grid on the face inside of a solid panel to allow breathing room and ventilation for audio equipment. In contrast, the entry wall on the other side of the room has more open storage with shelves on both sides of the double doors. This isn’t immediately seen when entering the office so it didn’t need to be perfect and orderly like the back wall of the office. Overall, we are thrilled with the way this office turned out, and we are so happy we were able to turn our clients’ vision into a reality!

Their goal was to make the room as dark during the day as it was at night for optimal TV viewing. What started out as a masculine color scheme warped into a Seattle Seahawks color scheme. This worked perfectly, since Brandon is a professional football player and previously played for the Seahawks as a member of the Legion of Boom. He requested his jersey and teammate’s jerseys be professionally framed so we could display them. I had custom black-out window coverings made and installed high to block the daylight. A custom cabinet in a slate-blue finish was made to house all the audio equipment. I had the pool table re-felt in a grey to coordinate with the room’s decor. The walls were painted Benjamin Moore Pewter and all trim received a fresh coat of Cloud Cover. The finishing touch to block out the light was a large, custom sliding door I had made to separate this room from the family room. The space ended up being a great place to hang out with friends and family while reflecting Brandon’s personality.

DTV INSTALLATIONS LLCFirst up was the living room’s home theater, which we built around an ultra-slim 55-inch Samsung UN55JU9000 4K Ultra HD television with a bright, crisp display, along with an AppleTV unit and a Blu-ray player. Video and audio were powered by a 7.2-channel 4K Denon AVR-X3100W home theater receiver with full connectivity, utilizing Polk 90-RT 3-way speakers in the ceiling and a powerful Definitive Technology IWSub 10/10 passive in-wall subwoofer. All of the speakers are very low profile, barely even distinguishable in the lovely and comfortable living room.
