Inspiration for a transitional great room remodel in Miami

This late 70's ranch style home was recently renovated with a clean, modern twist on the ranch style architecture of the existing residence. AquaTerra was hired to create the entire outdoor environment including the new pool and spa. Similar to the renovated home, this aquatic environment was designed to take a traditional pool and gives it a clean, modern twist. The site proved to be perfect for a long, sweeping curved water feature that can be seen from all of the outdoor gathering spaces as well as many rooms inside the residence. This design draws people outside and allows them to explore all of the features of the pool and outdoor spaces. Features of this resort like outdoor environment include: -Play pool with two lounge areas with LED lit bubblers -Pebble Tec Pebble Sheen Luminous series pool finish -Lightstreams glass tile -spa with six custom copper Bobe water spillway scuppers -water feature wall with three custom copper Bobe water scuppers -Fully automated with Pentair Equipment -LED lighting throughout the pool and spa -Gathering space with automated fire pit -Lounge deck area -Synthetic turf between step pads and deck -Gourmet outdoor kitchen to meet all the entertaining needs. This outdoor environment cohesively brings the clean & modern finishes of the renovated home seamlessly to the outdoors to a pool and spa for play, exercise and relaxation. The breakfast area focal point is seen from the front door and is captured by a beautiful slab of quartzite hung on the wall as art. The sideboard underneath the slab is intricately designed with inlaid mother of pearl and, when opened, lights up to highlight bottles inside. We used the existing table and moved the neutral upholstered chairs from the dining area. The previously built-in bench area used for reading, is now finished off with custom cushions and large throw pillows for a comfortable rest area. The dining area is now complete with colorful dining chairs that transition nicely into the large living area. Because our client loved pattern, we decided to use chairs that had a fun but unusual circle pattern on the back panel and play up the color with a fun striped fabric. Inspiration for a contemporary dark wood floor home bar remodel in Phoenix with white countertops

This cozy breakfast nook has one view overlooking the client’s pool and another overlooking the Northern California Bay! A design plans encompassing the brief still moments of life, and treasured relationships. A place to read the newspaper or simply an intimate gathering over a meal shared. The Skirted Dining Chairs in wheat woven over large black Jacquard print brings comfort to this cozy sunny breakfast nook while allowing the chairs to be a welcome addition to the adjacent Radius Room design. The cherry cabinets, sun struck windows, and chandelier trimmed with jewels seems invite guests to take a seat and enjoy the company within!

This couple purchased a second home as a respite from city living. Living primarily in downtown Chicago the couple desired a place to connect with nature. The home is located on 80 acres and is situated far back on a wooded lot with a pond, pool and a detached rec room. The home includes four bedrooms and one bunkroom along with five full baths. The home was stripped down to the studs, a total gut. Linc modified the exterior and created a modern look by removing the balconies on the exterior, removing the roof overhang, adding vertical siding and painting the structure black. The garage was converted into a detached rec room and a new pool was added complete with outdoor shower, concrete pavers, ipe wood wall and a limestone surround. Dining Room and Den Details: Features a custom 10’ live edge white oak table. Linc designed it and built it himself in his shop with Owl Lumber and Home Things. This Houston kitchen remodel turned an outdated bachelor pad into a contemporary dream fit for newlyweds. The client wanted a contemporary, somewhat commercial look, but also something homey with a comfy, family feel. And they couldn't go too contemporary, since the style of the home is so traditional. The clean, contemporary, white-black-and-grey color scheme is just the beginning of this transformation from the previous kitchen, The revamped 20-by-15-foot kitchen and adjoining dining area also features new stainless steel appliances by Maytag, lighting and furnishings by Restoration Hardware and countertops in white Carrara marble and Absolute Black honed granite. The paneled oak cabinets are now painted a crisp, bright white and finished off with polished nickel pulls. The center island is now a cool grey a few shades darker than the warm grey on the walls. On top of the grey on the new sheetrock, previously covered in a camel-colored textured paint, is Sherwin Williams' Faux Impressions sparkly "Striae Quartz Stone." Ho-hum 12-inch ceramic floor tiles with a western motif border have been replaced with grey tile "planks" resembling distressed wood. An oak-paneled flush-mount light fixture has given way to recessed lights and barn pendant lamps in oil rubbed bronze from Restoration Hardware. And the section housing clunky upper and lower banks of cabinets between the kitchen an dining area now has a sleek counter-turned-table with custom-milled legs. At first, the client wanted to open up that section altogether, but then realized they needed more counter space. The table - a continuation of the granite countertop - was the perfect solution. Plus, it offered space for extra seating. The black, high-back and low-back bar stools are also from Restoration Hardware - as is the new round chandelier and the dining table over which it hangs. Outdoor Homescapes of Houston also took out a wall between the kitchen and living room and remodeled the adjoining living room as well. A decorative cedar beam stained Minwax Jacobean now spans the ceiling where the wall once stood. The oak paneling and stairway railings in the living room, meanwhile, also got a coat of white paint and new window treatments and light fixtures from Restoration Hardware. Staining the top handrailing with the same Jacobean dark stain, however, boosted the new contemporary look even more. The outdoor living space also got a revamp, with a new patio ceiling also stained Jacobean and new outdoor furniture and outdoor area rug from Restoration Hardware. The furniture is from the Klismos collection, in weathered zinc, with Sunbrella fabric in the color "Smoke."

A casual dining area adjacent to the kitchen includes a custom, rift-sawn oak dining table by Peter Thomas Designs and double-drum pendants from Hinkley Lighting. Limestone walls and floors, plus Douglas fir ceilings are characteristic of the home's interiors. Formal dining room: This light-drenched dining room in suburban New Jersery was transformed into a serene and comfortable space, with both luxurious elements and livability for families. Moody grasscloth wallpaper lines the entire room above the wainscoting and two aged brass lantern pendants line up with the tall windows. We added linen drapery for softness with stylish wood cube finials to coordinate with the wood of the farmhouse table and chairs. We chose a distressed wood dining table with a soft texture to will hide blemishes over time, as this is a family-family space. We kept the space neutral in tone to both allow for vibrant tablescapes during large family gatherings, and to let the many textures create visual depth. A dining room with impact! This is the first room one sees when entering this home, so impact was important. Blue flamestitch wallcovering above a 7 feet high wainscoting blends with leather side chairs and blue velvet captain's chairs. The custom dining table is walnut with a brass base.
