This beautiful contemporary home office was designed for multiple activities. First we needed to provide all of the required office functions from computer and the associated hardware to a beautiful as well as functional desk and credenza. The unusual shape of the ceilings was a design inspiration for the cabinetry. Functional storage installed below open display centers brought together practical and aesthetic components. The furnishings were designed to allow work and relaxation in one space. comfortable sofa and chairs combined in a relaxed conversation area, or a spot for a quick afternoon nap. A built in bar and large screen TV are available for entertaining or lounging by the fire. cleverly concealed storage keeps firewood at hand for this wood-burning fireplace. Brittany specified Norcraft Cabinetry’s Gerrit door style in the Divinity White Finish to make the small sized space feel bigger and brighter, but was sure to keep storage and practicality in mind. The wall-to-wall cabinets feature two large file drawers, a trash pullout, a cabinet with easy access to a printer, and of course plenty of storage for design books and other papers. The cabinetry was complete with the Brixton Pull in a Honey Bronze Finish from Top Knobs Hardware for a trendy, contemporary touch. To make the brass hardware feel more cohesive throughout the space, the Dakota style Sconces in a Warm Brass Finish from Savoy House were added above the cabinetry. The sconces provide more light and are the perfect farmhouse accent with a modern touch.

My client requested a serene, cozy, and beachy hone office where she could feel comfortable and inspired when working from home. Cool and coastal colors of sea glass, blue, aqua, sand, and ivory unfold a serene yet interesting space. With painted wood and rattan furniture, the feeling is that you are in a tropical retreat. We created spaces for working at a desk with practicalities like a filing cabinet, yet also a place to lounge while reading, conversing, and even working on the lap top. This small guest room became an inspiring place for my client to be productive and do her thing in style!
