This beautiful home located near a central Connecticut wine vineyard was purchased by a growing family as their dream home. They decided to make their informal entry into their home a priority. We truly are believers in combining function with elegance. This mudroom opens up to their kitchen so why not create some amazing storage that looks great too! This space speaks to their transitional style with a touch of tradition. From mixing the metal finishes to the herringbone floor pattern we were able to create a timeless, functional first impression to a beautiful home. Every family can benefit from having a space called “Home Central” from pre-school on…come in and take your shoes off.

I would love to do some custom underwater paintings on board. Something a bit stylish with custom colors and great composition!

This Jersey City, NJ space was the first permanent ‘home’ for the yoga studio, so it was essential for us to listen well and design a space to serve their needs for years to come. Through our design process, we helped to guide the owners through the fit-out of their new studio location that required minimal demolition and disruption to the existing space.
Together, we converted a space originally used as a preschool into a welcoming, spacious yoga studio for local yogis. We created one main yoga studio by combining four small classrooms into a single larger space with new walls, while all the other program spaces (including designated areas for holistic treatments, massage, and bodywork) were accommodated into pre-existing rooms.
Our team completed all demo, sheetrock, electrical, and painting aspects of the project. (The studio owners did some of the work themselves, and a different company installed the flooring and carpets.) The results speak for themselves: a peaceful, restorative space to facilitate health and healing for the studio’s community.

A Young Couple's Expanding Footprint
When my clients realized their new baby was going to require new space they didn't have to move very far. Three floors up they found a tastefully renovated 3 bedroom in their Art Deco Gramercy building. The apartment came complete with a timeless Henrybuilt kitchen, but the bathrooms needed a bit of work. They also needed a lot more furniture to fit the space that wouldn't make it look like a preschool. An eclectic mix of furniture was selected by my client, myself and an additional designer. An Art Deco steel door by Erik Anderson From Gunnard Design and Art Deco furniture took their cues from the building. Mid Century reproductions are mixed with modern designs from BluDot, and the Dulwich Extendable Table from Design Within Reach. Their Master Bedroom Suite was turned into a Hotel Suite.

Inviting, serene, personal. All words many of us want to use to describe our homes. Even though this family has two preschoolers, they aren't afraid to have the space feel grown up. Not seen is the box of brightly colored toys behind the sofa. This wall color is one of my favorites- a perfect putty with depth. Warmer than a gray, grayer than a typical beige, Grant Beige by Benjamin Moore strides the line of current and classic.

I like the idea of updating the chinoiserie look. Using chic colors and adding unique items takes it from traditional to the look of a true work of art. I love Cherry trees, and ended up adding more blossoms before it was installed.

I could see a bunch of these hammer heads in an office space. That would be fun/funny/interesting. Sorry again about the photo quality.

Inspiration for a girl medium tone wood floor toddler room remodel in Los Angeles with blue walls

This was a gut job. An upstairs bonus room previously used and abused by the client's preschoolers. The toys were replaced with West Elm furniture, the walls were covered in Phillip Jeffries grasscloth, and the art was custom made for the space.

So cute! I used the Cal bear font and created a baby Oski for the principal and her appreciation of Call fundraising and volunteers. I love the colors I choose for the sunbeams. They are all from C2 paint.
I love C2 paint colors, so fun and easy to match!
