This home office is truly functional. The custom sapele desk stores the CPU, printer (on roll-out), and offers lots of storage space. The LFZ Link Suspension pendant is a fun touch. The limestone tile floor is great for rolling around on. The extra-deep closets house file cabinets and offer additional storage space for office supplies.

With the CORAIL table base, Roche Bobois achieved a global innovation in furniture in 2020: bringing concrete 3D printing, previously reserved for special architectural pieces, to the general public. In a continuous movement from bottom to top, the nozzle of the 3D printer is digitally controlled to deposit a strand of concrete that hardens as it layers, and then over 20 days.

Ark Woodworking fabricated and installed this custom home office. We worked with the client to include wardrobe cabinetry in with the home office aspect of the unit. The printer pullout tray was hidden behind the door. The backs of the book shelves was matched to the paint color of the wall in an opaque lacquer finish.

This guest room was large enough to accommodate both a work space for two and the client's queen size bed. The drawers are file cabinets with the lower center cupboard housing printer and modem. This kitchen proves how kitchens of today have become a multi-function space. This space is complete with a printer, dog crate, water bowls, and multiple kuerig's!

This den is used as a home office and make-up area. The tiny space is filled by a large art-deco style desk, with a narrow wall-mounted shelving unit for storage. A glass rolling cart is used as a printer stand which tucks under the desk when not in use.

The custom cabinetry comes complete with a hidden pantry, closed-off baking area, hidden printer/charging station, and many other organizational accessories!

Home office - contemporary home office idea in Chicago

Brittany specified Norcraft Cabinetry’s Gerrit door style in the Divinity White Finish to make the small sized space feel bigger and brighter, but was sure to keep storage and practicality in mind. The wall-to-wall cabinets feature two large file drawers, a trash pullout, a cabinet with easy access to a printer, and of course plenty of storage for design books and other papers. The cabinetry was complete with the Brixton Pull in a Honey Bronze Finish from Top Knobs Hardware for a trendy, contemporary touch. To make the brass hardware feel more cohesive throughout the space, the Dakota style Sconces in a Warm Brass Finish from Savoy House were added above the cabinetry. The sconces provide more light and are the perfect farmhouse accent with a modern touch.

Wall-to-wall built-in desk unit defined by light gray color, fixed shelves only (except adjustable shelves behind doors), inset doors and drawer fronts, and a wide beadboard or vertcial shiplap panel in the center space.
