Quigley Decks is a Madison, WI-based home improvement contractor specializing in building decks, pergolas, porches, patios and carpentry projects that make the outside of your home a more pleasing place to relax. We are pleased to service much of greater Wisconsin including Cottage Grove, De Forest, Fitchburg, Janesville, Lake Mills, Madison, Middleton, Monona, Mt. Horeb, Stoughton, Sun Prairie, Verona, Waunakee, Milwaukee, Oconomowoc, Pewaukee, the Dells area and more.
We believe in solid workmanship and take great care in hand-selecting quality materials including Western Red Cedar, Ipe hardwoods and Trex, TimberTech and AZEK composites from select, southern Wisconsin vendors. Our goals are building quality and customer satisfaction. We ensure that no matter what the size of the job, it will be done right the first time and built to last.

Nestled atop a wooded ridge in the Hudson Highlands, the architect-owner envisioned a reinterpretation of renowned mid-century experimental “Case Study Homes”. An authentic representation of the materials and a clear outdoor-indoor connection were priorities for the design. Heart pine on the ceiling references the forested surroundings. All cabinets are Bilotta’s private Bilotta Collection cabinetry. The island and wall cabinets are distinctive: natural walnut quarter-sawn veneer trimmed with thin strips of natural walnut solid stock. Matte black on the paneled refrigerator, tall pantry and rear base cabinets frame the area and merge into the black structural columns. Balancing the darker finishes is a single slab of Carrera marble on the backsplash, with Caesarstone in “Concrete” topping the cabinetry. Surrounded by walls of glass, the kitchen is flanked by oversized impressive roof overhangs with exposed joists. Inside, a header was placed to align with the outermost joist and delineate the prep area. Within that footprint, natural heart pine planks line the ceiling, parallel to the outdoor joists. This creates the illusion that the overhang enters the kitchen at one end and exits out the other, further obscuring the line between indoors and out. As a counterpoint to strong vertical cabinet lines and horizontal ceiling lines, a unique bronze scissor-armed light fixture creates a diamond pattern across the length of the kitchen. At the intersection of each arm is an individual half-gold exposed light bulb, resulting in pools of illumination that highlight the beautiful grain pattern and coloration of the wood ceiling – a stunning alternative to ubiquitous recessed lighting. Although it’s not large, this kitchen offers an abundance of storage and countertop space for meal prep and serving. The refrigerator and tall pantry bookend the space; making them equal in size imparts pleasing symmetry. With the sink centered along the back wall and the range centered in the island, there’s plenty of elbow room on each side of the appliances. Everything is within arms’ reach for easy use and fast cleanup. The gray hues of the “Concrete” colored quartz tops and the veining of the Carrera backsplash echo the stone outcroppings in the landscape and provide contrast to the variety of wood tones throughout the room.

A 43” diameter heritage pecan guided the plan of this neighborhood-scaled, modestly-priced, single-story, L-shaped house. In Austin’s seemingly perpetual drought, the goal was to create a symbiotic relationship between house and tree: to complement, not combat each other. The roof’s east/west parallel ridges create a valley directly across from the base, where water is collected at a grate, nourishing the tree. The roof also maximizes south facing surfaces, elevated at 15 degrees for future solar collection. The open, public spaces of the home maximize the north-south light. The private zone of the bedrooms and bathrooms include a generous gallery; its angled walls and large sliding doors are faceted about the tree. The pecan becomes a central focus for indoor and outdoor living, participating in the house in both plan and section. The design welcomes and nurtures the tree as integral to its success. Luxury home builders Sound Beach Partners hired Fusion Bowling to create a custom basement bowling alley for their clients in Greenwich, Connecticut. The homeowners wanted the theme of the room to be based on their favorite skiing destination -- Steamboat, Colorado. The project features Pro Lanes with Illustrious Maple color pattern, "winter wonderland" lighting effects, custom sky blue pins, and Brunswick GS-X pinsetter machines. The masking unit, guest bowling balls, pins, and lanes all feature custom logos.

With family members spread across the globe, the patriarch of the family wanted to establish a home base that would give them all a chance to recreate, reconnect, and relax over what sometimes could be trips of a month or more. Their large parcel of land is not far from Yellowstone Park, and a trout stream and several ponds are just a few of the prevalent water features. The property encompasses the top of a mountain with a lookout tower, and down below, this approximately 7000 square foot home delivers a sense of intimacy. Each bedroom is a master suite, with fireplace, private balcony, and adjoining children’s room, to ensure all generations have the space they need. Our shared approach was to celebrate the romantic lodges of the past, leading us to choose small round logs like those used in Old Faithful Lodge, as one example. With plenty of space inside and out to decompress—but cozy, welcoming living areas as well—this lodge becomes the perfect family gathering place.

This "After" photo showcases the new balcony which was added above the front entry. This scaled down the extremely tall cavity above the door, with the added benefit of providing a private balcony for the bedroom. The original front entry door was replaced with a new wood door and sidelites. Faux stone was replaced with new ledge-stone base and cap.

Michelle's Interiors:
A new West Lake, Texas, residential property, adjacent to a private golf course and club, was a challenge for its new owners in terms of shape and grade, which made the home an unusual foot print and created several design challenges. Comprehensive planning from the adjustment of original construction plans to whole-house interior design created a well-appointed home that is now a true reflection of the homeowners' lifestyle and their love of travel and safaris.
Michelle Rohrer-Lauer, founder and principal designer with Michelle’s Interiors, who has designed homes for clients in both Chicago and Dallas for many years, began working with the West Lake homeowners when the property was just purchased, but the house had not yet been fully designed and built. This led to full-scale design planning to create indoor and outdoor livable luxury, all of which was based upon unified design themes desired by the homeowners, and creatively conceptualized and inspired by Michelle.
Michelle and her design team worked closely with their clients to envision the purpose for each room and space, numbering more than 30 different areas of the home to create, recreate or design.

When a world class sailing champion approached us to design a Newport home for his family, with lodging for his sailing crew, we set out to create a clean, light-filled modern home that would integrate with the natural surroundings of the waterfront property, and respect the character of the historic district.
Our approach was to make the marine landscape an integral feature throughout the home. One hundred eighty degree views of the ocean from the top floors are the result of the pinwheel massing. The home is designed as an extension of the curvilinear approach to the property through the woods and reflects the gentle undulating waterline of the adjacent saltwater marsh. Floodplain regulations dictated that the primary occupied spaces be located significantly above grade; accordingly, we designed the first and second floors on a stone “plinth” above a walk-out basement with ample storage for sailing equipment. The curved stone base slopes to grade and houses the shallow entry stair, while the same stone clads the interior’s vertical core to the roof, along which the wood, glass and stainless steel stair ascends to the upper level.
One critical programmatic requirement was enough sleeping space for the sailing crew, and informal party spaces for the end of race-day gatherings. The private master suite is situated on one side of the public central volume, giving the homeowners views of approaching visitors. A “bedroom bar,” designed to accommodate a full house of guests, emerges from the other side of the central volume, and serves as a backdrop for the infinity pool and the cove beyond.
Also essential to the design process was ecological sensitivity and stewardship. The wetlands of the adjacent saltwater marsh were designed to be restored; an extensive geo-thermal heating and cooling system was implemented; low carbon footprint materials and permeable surfaces were used where possible. Native and non-invasive plant species were utilized in the landscape. The abundance of windows and glass railings maximize views of the landscape, and, in deference to the adjacent bird sanctuary, bird-friendly glazing was used throughout.

This complete bathroom renovation was designed as a fully custom, spa-inspired retreat, combining warm natural textures, contemporary detailing, and carefully integrated lighting to create a calm and immersive atmosphere.
A custom floating vanity anchors the room with rich wood cabinetry, sculptural vessel sinks, and a substantial stone countertop. Floor-to-ceiling mirrors are framed by textured feature panels and concealed lighting, creating depth while softly illuminating the vanity wall. A cluster of organic pendant lights adds a sculptural focal point overhead and brings warmth to the neutral palette.
Custom storage was designed directly into the architecture of the room, pairing minimal light-toned cabinetry with dark wood open shelving and illuminated display niches. The contrast continues throughout the space, balancing clean contemporary lines with warmer natural finishes.
The bathroom was completely reconfigured and finished with large-format tile across the floors and walls, a wall-hung toilet, and a frameless glass shower enclosure. Inside the shower, integrated recessed niches provide functional storage while maintaining the streamlined aesthetic.
Lighting was treated as an architectural element throughout the design. Concealed LED illumination beneath the floating vanity, within the custom shelving, around the ceiling perimeter, behind feature surfaces, and along the shower base creates a layered glow that gives the bathroom its spa-like character.
The finished space is a highly customized contemporary bathroom designed around material texture, subtle contrast, integrated storage, and atmospheric lighting — creating the feeling of a private luxury spa within the home.
Design features: custom bathroom cabinetry, floating wood vanity, vessel sinks, stone countertop, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, textured feature walls, wall-hung toilet, frameless glass shower, large-format tile, recessed shower niches, custom built-in storage, illuminated shelving, concealed LED lighting, cove lighting, pendant lighting, and spa-inspired finishes.

Established in 1895 as a warehouse for the spice trade, 481 Washington was built to last. With its 25-inch-thick base and enchanting Beaux Arts facade, this regal structure later housed a thriving Hudson Square printing company. After an impeccable renovation, the magnificent loft building’s original arched windows and exquisite cornice remain a testament to the grandeur of days past. Perfectly anchored between Soho and Tribeca, Spice Warehouse has been converted into 12 spacious full-floor lofts that seamlessly fuse Old World character with modern convenience. Steps from the Hudson River, Spice Warehouse is within walking distance of renowned restaurants, famed art galleries, specialty shops and boutiques. With its golden sunsets and outstanding facilities, this is the ideal destination for those seeking the tranquil pleasures of the Hudson River waterfront.
Expansive private floor residences were designed to be both versatile and functional, each with 3 to 4 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and a home office. Several residences enjoy dramatic Hudson River views.
This open space has been designed to accommodate a perfect Tribeca city lifestyle for entertaining, relaxing and working.
The design reflects a tailored “old world” look, respecting the original features of the Spice Warehouse. With its high ceilings, arched windows, original brick wall and iron columns, this space is a testament of ancient time and old world elegance.
The guest bedroom was designed with travel in mind.It features elegant French Provencal bedding paired with jute accent pillows, travel chest and luggages as well as recycled blown glass table lamps and rich woods.

This Tapia Construction & Restoration Project presents all the hallmarks of an estate with its grand main home, guest house, pool, and formal grounds of over one acre. Just completed by Tapia Construction, the home is reminiscent of a sophisticated East Coast manor with its cedar shingled exterior and ebony shutters. Inside, a classic neutral color palette and traditional design elements are replicated in every room -- beautifully detailed ceilings, crisp white custom millwork, and lavish use of honed Calacatta Oro marble.
The three-level main residence is magnificently appointed with everything needed for luxurious comfortable living, including a theatre, fitness center, steam shower, and wine cellar. There are 5 spacious bedrooms, each with en-suite bath, plus a wonderful 1-bedroom guest house also perfect for extended family, an au pair, or entertaining. A pool, fire pit, and vast terrace highlight the rear grounds for outdoor enjoyment, all surrounded by beautifully manicured lawn, a parterre rose garden, and the privacy afforded by a gated entrance. Topping it all off is the home's close proximity to fine dining and shopping, Stanford University, and all of Silicon Valley.
Located in the heart of the Peninsula, Tapia Construction and Restoration provide all aspects of construction services throughout the Bay Area. TCR was founded in December 2008 with the intent to start a privately owned company, without the corporate agenda, that provide its customers the highest level of service and product with the personal touch of a family based business. Owner David Tapia began his career in the mid 1970's under the guidance of some of San Francisco's leading construction industry professionals. It was their passion, guidance, and instruction that helped David identify his calling. In the 80's David spent the majority of his time with Lombardi Construction where he developed relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, as well as providing him with the knowledge proven valuable over the course of his career. David has pursued certifications in plumbing, electrical, structural, carpentry/frame/fit/finish programs and is a certified safety professional. Confidence in this extensive experience and expertise coupled with his growing family, made the move to independent contractor a natural one. With years of experience and impeccable attention to detail TCR provides clients with an investment to projects and exceptional customer service. We would like to welcome you to the TCR family and invite you to share our vision of "Building the future- Restoring the past."

When this Chester Springs family came to Craftsworth Construction, they had a vision: transform an unfinished basement into a true extension of their home — a space where they could entertain, relax, host game nights, and still have room for the kids. What we delivered exceeded every expectation.
This full basement finish spans multiple defined zones, each with its own purpose and personality, yet all flowing seamlessly together in an open-concept layout. Every detail was intentional. Every material was selected for both beauty and durability. The result is one of the most complete and well-executed basement transformations we've built in Chester County.
The Wet Bar & Kitchenette
The centerpiece of the entertainment side of the basement is a fully custom wet bar and kitchenette that rivals an upstairs kitchen in both form and function. Dark charcoal shaker cabinets with brushed brass pulls line the walls, framing a dramatic white quartzite stone backsplash that runs full height. Live-edge floating shelves add warmth and texture against the stone. A stainless undermount sink sits beneath a matte black and gold pull-down faucet, and the countertops throughout are a gorgeous veined quartz. Appliances include a full-size stainless French door refrigerator, dishwasher, wine cooler, and a microwave drawer built into the island. A large waterfall island with seating for four anchors the space and separates the working kitchen from the entertainment area. A dramatic hand-hewn wood beam runs overhead, tying the rustic and modern elements together.
The Dry Bar & TV Bar
On the opposite side of the open space sits a sleek dry bar with a butcher block top and dark charcoal base, perfectly positioned in front of the media wall. Four swivel bar stools with wood backs face the TV, creating a natural watch-the-game setup that's as functional as it is good-looking. This bar serves as the connector between the lounge and the game room, keeping the flow of the space intuitive and social.
The Media Lounge
The living area features a custom slatted wood accent wall with a large wall-mounted TV, in-wall speakers, and a soundbar — all framed by the warm natural tone of the slat panels against the deep charcoal accent wall. Brass wall sconces flank the TV wall, and a large sectional with a round wood coffee table creates a cozy, cinema-quality hangout space. A black sliding barn door with frosted glass panels leads to the fitness room, adding an industrial-modern touch while keeping the space flexible.
The Game Room
Dedicated to fun, the game room features a full-size pool table, dart board cabinet, cue rack, and wall-to-wall sports memorabilia including a framed Eagles jersey. A corner L-shaped floating wood shelf wraps the back wall, perfect for drinks and gear during a game. The deep charcoal paint and recessed lighting keep the vibe right.
The Bathroom
The basement bathroom is a full showstopper. A dark wood vanity with quartz countertop and brass pulls sits beneath a gold-framed rectangular mirror flanked by brass sconces. The frameless glass walk-in shower is tiled floor to ceiling in vertical white subway tile with a built-in niche and a brass thermostatic valve. A vertical shiplap accent wall behind the toilet adds a designer touch that elevates the entire room.
The Fitness Room
Accessed through the barn door from the lounge, the fitness room is clean and bright with its own wall-mounted TV, recessed lighting, and egress window. It's private enough to feel like a dedicated gym but connected enough to stay part of the home.
The Kids' Playroom
No detail was overlooked — even the space beneath the stairs was converted into a functional kids' playroom with built-in shelving, a Lego table, and a chalkboard easel. A smart use of square footage that the whole family can enjoy.
The Pantry
A pair of oversized custom barn-style double doors in matte black open to reveal a full walk-in pantry with white built-in shelving. Closed, the doors look like a bold design feature. Open, they reveal serious organized storage.

Close-up view of the dedicated dining zone, featuring oval dark base dining table with curved upholstered dining chairs. Positioned directly beside the kitchen island for easy serving during gatherings, expansive glass sliding doors overlook the private backyard greenery. Neutral decorative styling complements the kitchen’s dark-and-light two-tone cabinet scheme, forming a cohesive entertaining hub for this Australian luxury villa.
