It was pretty much a blank area but with some elevation issues. The seating wall served 2 purposes as a seating space but also to retain some of the patio. Natural fieldstone steppers lead from the driveway area to the patio. An assortment of perennials and plantings soften the hardscape project. Serviceberry, hybrid dogwood, and a large dwarf pine are the anchor plants. We also created a raised vegetable garden space off the patio too. Marc Depoto (Hillside Nurseries Inc.)

On April 22, 2013, MainStreet Design Build began a 6-month construction project that ended November 1, 2013 with a beautiful 655 square foot addition off the rear of this client's home. The addition included this gorgeous custom kitchen, a large mudroom with a locker for everyone in the house, a brand new laundry room and 3rd car garage. As part of the renovation, a 2nd floor closet was also converted into a full bathroom, attached to a child’s bedroom; the formal living room and dining room were opened up to one another with custom columns that coordinated with existing columns in the family room and kitchen; and the front entry stairwell received a complete re-design. A farmhouse style was achieved in this new construction home by keeping the details clean and simple. Shaker style cabinets and square stair parts moldings set the backdrop for incorporating our clients’ love of Asian antiques. We had fun re-purposing the different pieces she already had: two were made into bathroom vanities; and the turquoise console became the star of the house, welcoming visitors as they walk through the front door.

This small bath carries an immense amount of presence. Bold metallic Copper walls and the Black walnut sliding barn door set a unique stage. **See the before pictures. His/Hers toilets and vanities are in separate compartments.

Location: Spring Lake, NJ, US Our design goal for this renovation and addition was to present a modern interpretation of Colonial Plantation Style. This home features dark wood floors, wood paneling and a light soothing color scheme. The Dining Room features classic silk De Gournay Wallpaper which further fuses the indoor and outdoor seamlessness of the home. The amazing tile installations permeate the decor with color, texture and pattern. The shaker-style kitchen is refreshed by using black cabinetry, a custom stainless hood and La Cornue Range. We enjoyed adding vintage finds throughout - a farm table for the Kitchen, Bergere chairs in the Entry, and a Victorian Flower mirror in the Powder Room. threshold interiors ensures that your beach retreat is elegant, transitional and most importantly comfortable and relaxing! This family treehouse can be used year round for a variety of activities. The upper deck, with stunning views, is perfect for summer picnics, while the side deck is more suited for a quiet spot to read or relax. The interior has a couch for napping, a desk for writing and working, a kitchenette and small dining area.
