This is a view of the other leg of the L-shaped Her Master Closet; the pocket door opening to the Master Bedroom is at the end of the row of clothes rods. If you've followed the sequence of the last few photos, you should be able to visualize how these spaces were organized for accessibility and economy of movement: Client's rises from right hand side of bed enters the linear bathroom, proceeds to closet which turns back toward bedroom.
Wheelchair accessible space, Hafele pull-down clothes rods. The cabinets are maple, the floor No. 1 select hickory.

Line drawing of the magnificent bar with flyover cornice, framed mirrors, lighted bottle shelves and generous elbow room for four stools. The carved lion pilasters lend both gravitas & whimsy to the proceedings.

Before we redesigned the basement of this charming but compact 1950's North Vancouver home, this space was an unfinished utility room that housed nothing more than an outdated furnace and hot water tank. Since space was at a premium we recommended replacing the furnace with a high efficiency model and converting the hot water tank to an on-demand system, both of which could be housed in the adjacent crawl space. That left room for a generous laundry room conveniently located at the back entrance of the house where family members returning from a mountain bike ride can undress, drop muddy clothes into the washing machine and proceed to shower in the bathroom just across the hall. heri’ DeGeer is excited and honored for Crown Jewel to be appointed the official paint brand for Molly’s Fund fighting lupus. After her sister has diagnosed with lupus, she set out to find a way to contribute to the research in finding a cure. A perfect match was formed in the partnership between Crown Jewel Luxury Paint and Molly’s Fund. Crown Jewel is proud to donate a portion of the proceeds of every gorgeous gallon to Molly’s Fund fighting lupus. Ironically, Sheri’ was called Butterfly and her sister, Princess their entire lives. Who could have predicted…?

Another beautiful shot of the exterior as you proceed around the home. Here you can really admire the iron balconies and large french doors.

Here's a pair of millwork pieces we designed and subsequently installed over the past few days to complement each other as part of a family room fit-up we are performing on 13th Street in Hoboken. Plenty of shelving above for all those books and knickknacks you want to see, as well as lots of lower cabinet space for all those things you want to keep out of sight. Note the mesh doors on the lower cabinets in the entertainment center so the audio and video components can be seen and operated with the doors closed. As well, the crown molding and baseboard continue across the front and sides of the cabinetry as they proceed around the circumference of the room. This photo taken before the baseboard was installed.

When the homeowners came to us, they had a desire to build out an outdoor space that would compliment their covered patio. Ideally, it would allow them to gather around and roast marshmallows in a cozy setting. When we inspected their property, it was fairly exposed to their neighbors; we proceeded to build out the space so it could have additional room for tables and chairs. Our team then worked to sink the fire pit patio area in, to add privacy with greenery to help create an intimate space to enjoy a fire and embrace family.

Our team successfully removed the previous metal structure for the homeowner. Following the debris clearance, we commenced the foundation footings. Once the foundation was completed, we proceeded with the construction of the wall framing and floor, allowing for the installation of the roof trusses. After boarding the framing and roof, we wrapped the structure in Tyvek weatherproofing and began the indoor work, including electrical, insulation, and drywall. The project was completed with the installation of new siding, eavestroughs, shingles, and a door, providing our clients with the multi-functional space they desired.

Proceeding up the stairway the home was flanked with candles sitting atop white beans in glass vases. To add to the whimsy, oversized stockings with feathers were hung from a photo display.

Situating the slide-in range under the window was a 'lesser of evils' option to maximize storage, which was a priority. We confirmed code compliance before proceeding. Glass cabinetry with mullions to display terra cotta ware. Alder inset cabinetry from StarMark Cabinetry with Cambria Fairbourne countertops.

A diamond in the rough was polished to a new brilliance in this remodel. Moving the kitchen to be front and center of everything was the key to this remodel. Carrying the motif of less is more, this remodel emphasized the qualities this Parisian-styled home had with a modern open floor plan. Working through different design studies with the client, we identified the optimum layout and created space for an additional bedroom. Fusing old world details with contemporary living, we ensured the rehabilitation pays homage to its original detailing while expressing a bold narrative, delicately balanced within the original structural framework. Careful detailing of the structural elements ensured the work could proceed without affecting the unit below. Completed in 2014, this home now offers its young family the full urban experience of stylish San Francisco living.
