With a listing price of just under $4 million, this gorgeous row home located near the Convention Center in Washington DC required a very specific look to attract the proper buyer.
The home has been completely remodeled in a modern style with bamboo flooring and bamboo kitchen cabinetry so the furnishings and decor needed to be complimentary. Typically, transitional furnishings are used in staging across the board, however, for this property we wanted an urban loft, industrial look with heavy elements of reclaimed wood to create a city, hotel luxe style. As with all DC properties, this one is long and narrow but is completely open concept on each level, so continuity in color and design selections was critical.
The row home had several open areas that needed a defined purpose such as a reception area, which includes a full bar service area, pub tables, stools and several comfortable seating areas for additional entertaining. It also boasts an in law suite with kitchen and living quarters as well as 3 outdoor spaces, which are highly sought after in the District.

This space was completely empty, void of everything except the flooring tiles. All the containers and plantings, the patterned turf in the flooring, ornaments, and fixtures were part of the design. It spans three sides of the penthouse, extending the dining and living space out into the open.
Outdoor rooms are created with the alignment of fixtures and placement of furniture. The custom designed water feature is both a wall to separate the dining and living spaces and a work of art on its own. A shade system offers relief from the scorching sun without permanently blocking the view from the dining room. A frosted glass wall on the edge of the kitchen brings privacy and still allows light to filter into the space. The south wall is lined with planters to add some privacy and at night are lit as a focal point.

We recently finished this beautiful installation featuring Mirage's Blanc White Oak "Rocking Horse" — a custom 7/16" x 5" floating hardwood floor from one of the most respected hardwood flooring manufacturers in the industry.
The soft, natural tones brighten the entire space while showcasing the timeless character and beauty that only real hardwood can provide. The seamless flow from room to room creates an open, inviting feel that will never go out of style.
When investing in hardwood flooring, product quality matters—but so does the installation. Our team took great care to ensure proper layout, plank variation, transitions, and finishing details to deliver a floor that is as beautiful as it is durable.
The result is a warm, sophisticated foundation that will be enjoyed for years to come.

Almost every inch of this Colonial home in Alexandria’s coveted Seminary Ridge neighborhood hadn’t been touched in decades and desperately needed updating. Reconfiguring the first-floor plan allowed for an open flow from the new mudroom and laundry room off the garage through the family room and dining room, the completely redesigned new kitchen, and the formal living room. The second level was also reconfigured to create a proper primary suite with a large closet, spacious bathroom, and a hall bathroom for the kids that included playful tile and wallpaper selections.

Design trends come and go, but some classic elements never go out of style. Consider this elegant all-white kitchen space - the centerpiece of our clients' sophisticated Upper East Side apartment. Aptly dubbed the "Park Avenue Classic", this u-shaped compact kitchen features our Watermark style custom inset cabinetry, Carrara marble countertops and backsplash, a farmhouse sink, and gorgeous wood floors. In addition to the kitchen space and coordinating rail & stile wainscoting along the hallway, Bakes & Kropp devised a custom plan to outfit the living, dining, and bedroom areas with cleverly designed radiator covers. These concealed storage units beautifully camouflage the homeowner's unsightly HVAC system, but feature removable front panels for easy access and venting for proper air flow.

This project was completed for a client who recently moved from a California mansion to a Georgia penthouse in order to be closer to family. It was a huge down size so it was important for our design team to help obtain that same grand appeal that the client was accustomed to, within a significantly smaller home. We created an open space plan that would allow for entertaining many guests at once. With proper scale in consideration, we chose to use large furniture that would make up the living room and dining space to reinforce that grand effect. Lending to this concept we hung drapery higher than the window frames and a bold ceiling fixture in order to compliment the height of the ceiling. Along with these accommodations we utilized the clients existing collection of eclectic wall art to fill the bare walls. In the end we were able to create a space that did not feel foreign to our client, but rather like home.

Full Kitchen Remodel in Green Bay, WI
Complete Transformation | Flooring, Cabinetry, Drywall & Finish Carpentry
This full kitchen remodel in Green Bay, Wisconsin transformed an outdated layout with original cabinetry and worn flooring into a clean, modern, highly functional space designed for long-term durability.
As a veteran-owned home remodeling contractor serving Brown County, our goal was to completely rebuild the space from the inside out — not simply update surface finishes.
Scope of Work Included:
• Full demolition of existing cabinetry and finishes
• New drywall installation and wall preparation
• Updated electrical layout coordination
• Interior painting throughout
• Installation of new shaker-style cabinets
• Modern cabinet hardware
• New laminate countertops
• Luxury vinyl plank flooring installation
• New base trim and window casing
• Updated sink and appliance integration
The original kitchen featured dated cabinetry, heavy trim details, and aging sheet vinyl flooring. By removing the old finishes and rebuilding with clean lines and neutral tones, the space now feels brighter, larger, and more functional.
The new layout maximizes wall space, improves workflow, and creates a cohesive transition into the adjoining dining area. Updated trim and casing details complete the project and elevate the overall finish quality.

Proper window installation is critical to the performance of the window, the energy efficiency of the home, and the long-term resistance of the window to weather. “Full Flashing Installation” includes the following steps. Though every situation is different, GCCI uses as many of the processes outlined above (and many others!) as possible for every window installation in order to hold up to the demanding conditions presented in the Pacific Northwest.

These Hanover, MA clients came to Renovisions as they wanted a local design-build company to rework and expand their small and outdated 1980’s colonial kitchen.
We collaborated and created an expanded 12’x15’ addition space to accommodate a newly designed kitchen which is now 21’x15’. Before we began with the construction process, proper structural engineering presented a challenge as the property was built on ledge. As expected, we determined that several concrete supports were necessary and needed to be built to support the expanded structure.
Our plan included both creative aesthetic and functional layout modifications to transform this ordinary kitchen into a spacious, well-lit, highly functional, stylish and welcoming space to cook, gather and entertain. The bump-out allowed for more functional cabinetry and a dining table which before was placed in a corner of the previous cramped kitchen. Now, there is a wide open space from the adjacent living room and a clear path to a 5’ French door opening to the pool deck. The homeowners also elected for us to extend a new roof over their existing deck creating a nice shaded space to entertain guests.
The island, which serves as the central gathering spot. is eye catching with contrasting dark cocoa colored cabinets and stunning natural looking Cambria quartz countertops. Large, easily accessible deep drawers provide much needed storage for pots, pans and lids as well as expansive countertop space for everyday prep and family get-togethers.
Overall, the clients were thrilled with their Renovision and cannot wait to throw a party to show off their stunning kitchen.
“There is not a single choice we aren’t happy with; it is so us! I love all of the storage and I have a feeling we are going to do a lot of entertaining this summer.”
“Dear Cathy and Ed, We are abundantly grateful for the entire Renovisions Team that have provided us with a beautiful kitchen and porch to enjoy. We will continue to make family memories for many years to come with this new addition. From the first time we met with you at the showroom, we were confident that high quality workmanship would go into our new construction. Mike, Brad, and Tom were very trustworthy and worked very hard every day they were on the job site. They were very flexible and always put the homeowners safety first. They even offered a bit of comic relief! Every night the site was cleaned meticulously, never leaving tools or sharp edges of any sort in the open space. We were also very pleased with the help offered when designing and choosing cabinets, tile and other finishes. Liz was always very helpful and patient to answer questions when we came by the showroom. We are extremely pleased with all the choices and on a daily basis we enjoy the warmth and amazing space it provides.
We recently hosted a retirement party for 70 people and it never felt crowed! We relax under the covered porch in the morning for coffee, the afternoon for lunch and to watch the grandkids in the pool. And of course in the evening while we read or catch up on emails. It is an amazing space! Thank you all again, for your hard work and passion for your craftsmanship. We will be in touch soon to set up a date for you all to drop by to see the finishing touches and to enjoy refreshments.”
