A brick stone pizza oven is an essential component of traditional Italian pizza-making. These ovens are specially designed and capable of operating at high temperatures, characterized by their brick stone structure. This unique construction offers several advantages and imparts a distinctive flavor and texture to the pizza.
Brick stone pizza ovens typically operate using wood, charcoal, or gas fuel. The bricks inside the oven distribute heat evenly, creating an ideal cooking environment. This helps to achieve a crispy crust on the pizza and ensures proper cooking of the base.
The most notable feature of these ovens is their ability to reach extremely high temperatures. Many brick stone ovens can reach temperatures as high as 900°F (480°C). This intense heat allows pizzas to cook rapidly while preserving the flavors of the ingredients. Moreover, pizzas cooked at such high temperatures strike a perfect balance between a thin base and a crispy crust.
One of the distinguishing characteristics of brick stone ovens is their short cooking time. Pizzas are typically cooked within a few minutes, enabling quick service to customers. Additionally, the high temperatures and direct contact with the flames contribute to excellent caramelization on the pizza's surface.
Brick stone ovens are not limited to pizza alone; they can also be used to prepare other dishes. Meats, vegetables, seafood, and bread, among many other foods, yield fantastic results in this type of oven. The oven's ability to retain high heat adds a special flavor and aroma to the cooked dishes.
In conclusion, brick stone pizza ovens are a significant element of traditional Italian pizza-making and are favored by many professional pizzaiolos. These ovens impart a unique flavor and texture to pizzas, with crispy crusts and perfectly cooked bases. Moreover, the versatility of these ovens allows for the preparation of various other dishes, creating exceptional taste experiences.

Using design expertise, proper engineering and modern building practices, Elite Landscaping transformed an outdated, crumbling concrete pool and landscape into a fresh, award-winning masterpiece. Highlights of this outdoor living space and pool renovation include: Repaving the entire pool deck with travertine. Adding a 13-person year-round spa. Building a pool house with 20’ open cedar-beam ceilings over the men’s and women's changing rooms. Expanding and reinforcing an outdoor deck, finishing the under-deck ceiling and building a full-service, outdoor bar beneath it. Additionally, the Elite team designed a multi-level patio with sunken fire pit, flanked by natural boulders and flagstone paths. The pièce de résistance, however, is the custom-concrete waterfall and grotto, with natural interior skylights and customized water features.

The standard duration of a roof is roughly many years. If the roof is under few years old yet you are having problems, it will probably be able to get repaired instead of being forced to put up a brand-new roof. Even so, if your roof exceeds this age it usually is recommended to put in a new roof. To complete both fixes and new installs, a roofing contractor should be employed. A roofing contractor will be able to perfectly put in or service roofing components to make certain a good quality end product.
Before employing a residential roofing Auckland contractor it's always a good idea to get recommendations from family or friends. No matter whether you have recommendations, acquire several bids prior to figuring out the roofing company to hire. A bid ought to be thorough and encompass the work to be conducted, expense, and time-frame to finish. Make certain clean up is included in the offered cost. If you would like save money, offer to complete the cleanup yourself.
Ask the roofer for how long they've been in business. Roofing contractors with numerous years experience are preferred. Additionally, make certain they have a physical address. Many roofing rip-offs are carried out by folks operating out of a truck without any legitimate business licenses or permanent street address. Obtain recommendations and verify them. Roofers should be properly insured. Request verification of insurance coverage to be certain you are shielded from any damage to your house.
The residential roofing Auckland repairs and new roofs may require particular building permits. Make sure the enterprise you deal with knows community building regulations and that they acquire the right licenses or permits. Many cities also need to have inspections during particular stages of construction and a final inspection when the work is complete. Examine your community building codes to be sure the roofer is adhering to all codes. You may be liable if this does not occur.
Before starting the task get a contract. This would include every detail of the project, period of time to finish, and cost. It needs to clearly define payment procedures and warranties. Furthermore, make certain the contract declares they are liable for clean up. Roof elements can be very messy and you should not need to clean up and dispose of waste yourself. However remember you can save a little money if you choose to take on the cleanup process yourself. Don't be rushed into choosing a residential roofing Auckland contractor. Take time to talk to prospective roofers and check out expertise and recommendations. Roof maintenance can be costly and a new roof is really a major investment. Protect your house through doing a bit of analysis. Hire the roofing contractor that has the best mix of expertise and expense and with which you feel most confident.

Transform Your Home with Expert Wallpaper Installation by Windy City Painters
This dining room in Evanston, Illinois, recently underwent a stunning transformation, thanks to the team at Windy City Painters. As a trusted Chicago painter and wallpaper installer, we specialize in elevating spaces with expert craftsmanship and attention to detail. For this project, we installed bold, eclectic wallpaper on both the walls and ceiling—a design style that’s making a huge comeback in modern home décor.
The ceiling wallpaper, in particular, is the highlight of this room. This intricate pattern required careful planning and precise installation to achieve a seamless look. Ceiling wallpaper installation is one of the most challenging aspects of our work. Gravity, delicate materials, and complex patterns make it a task that only skilled professionals should tackle. Every seam, alignment, and adhesive application must be perfect, as even minor mistakes can be glaringly obvious on a ceiling. This is why hiring an experienced wallpaper installer is essential, especially when working with expensive, custom, or delicate wallpaper.
The process of wallpaper installation begins with careful surface preparation. Walls and ceilings need to be cleaned, repaired, and smoothed to ensure the wallpaper adheres properly. Next comes the meticulous measuring and cutting of wallpaper pieces, taking into account pattern repeats to ensure a flawless design flow. For ceilings, additional steps include precise alignment and support systems to keep the wallpaper in place as the adhesive sets. It’s a time-intensive process, but the results speak for themselves—creating a space that feels polished, cohesive, and unique.
Bold, busy patterns, like the one used in this dining room, are becoming increasingly popular. This eclectic style is perfect for homeowners looking to add personality and drama to their spaces. When paired with complementary furniture and décor, it creates a harmonious yet striking aesthetic. In this case, the rich blue tones, paired with natural wood accents and mid-century modern furniture, make the room feel both elegant and inviting.
At Windy City Painters, we pride ourselves on being a top Chicago painting contractor and wallpaper expert. Whether you’re looking to enhance your walls or tackle the challenge of ceiling wallpaper, our experienced team has you covered.

This Sammamish outdoor living project features a custom multi‑angle deck design paired with a vaulted roof cover built for year‑round use in the Pacific Northwest. The homeowners wanted a space that felt open, architectural, and protected from Sammamish’s frequent rain and shade—while blending seamlessly with the home’s existing structure.
We designed and built a dual‑angle vaulted roof with exposed architectural elements, integrated soffits, and clean trim details to create a finished, modern look. The covered structure provides excellent weather protection while allowing natural light to filter in, making the space usable in every season.
The deck was finished with TimberTech/Azek Dark Hickory, a premium PVC material ideal for moisture‑heavy environments like Sammamish. This low‑maintenance decking resists rot, mold, and fading, making it a long‑lasting solution for PNW homes surrounded by trees.

• Outdoor heating options for year‑round comfort
• Powder‑coated aluminum railing for a modern, open feel
• Improved waterproofing and flashing to protect the home’s exterior

The owners requested a Private Resort that catered to their love for entertaining friends and family, a place where 2 people would feel just as comfortable as 42. Located on the western edge of a Wisconsin lake, the site provides a range of natural ecosystems from forest to prairie to water, allowing the building to have a more complex relationship with the lake - not merely creating large unencumbered views in that direction. The gently sloping site to the lake is atypical in many ways to most lakeside lots - as its main trajectory is not directly to the lake views - allowing for focus to be pushed in other directions such as a courtyard and into a nearby forest.
The biggest challenge was accommodating the large scale gathering spaces, while not overwhelming the natural setting with a single massive structure. Our solution was found in breaking down the scale of the project into digestible pieces and organizing them in a Camp-like collection of elements:
- Main Lodge: Providing the proper entry to the Camp and a Mess Hall
- Bunk House: A communal sleeping area and social space.
- Party Barn: An entertainment facility that opens directly on to a swimming pool & outdoor room.
- Guest Cottages: A series of smaller guest quarters.
- Private Quarters: The owners private space that directly links to the Main Lodge.
These elements are joined by a series green roof connectors, that merge with the landscape and allow the out buildings to retain their own identity. This Camp feel was further magnified through the materiality - specifically the use of Doug Fir, creating a modern Northwoods setting that is warm and inviting. The use of local limestone and poured concrete walls ground the buildings to the sloping site and serve as a cradle for the wood volumes that rest gently on them. The connections between these materials provided an opportunity to add a delicate reading to the spaces and re-enforce the camp aesthetic.
The oscillation between large communal spaces and private, intimate zones is explored on the interior and in the outdoor rooms. From the large courtyard to the private balcony - accommodating a variety of opportunities to engage the landscape was at the heart of the concept.

This South Dartmouth office and apartment building looks gorgeous with new cedar shingle siding, Harvey replacement windows and more! Located in scenic Padanaram village, the owner chose premium white cedar shingles. Wood siding is a New England favorite for many reasons:

-Wood that is harvested from sustainably managed forests are extremely environmentally friendly. It also produces the least greenhouse gas, air pollution, water pollution and solid waste.

In this photo, you can see the preparation work that needs to be undertaken before painting commences. The siding is dirty, particularly at the top. Surfaces need a thorough cleaning before painting, otherwise, the new coat of paint won’t adhere properly, and the dirt will show through. You can see how the bottom of the door is also chipped and scuffed and needs carpentry work.

Kitchen from condo renovation in Upper West Side, Manhattan.
ABOUT THE RENOVATION
Very often, getting what you want is simply about timing. After years of owning her Upper West Side co-op in Lincoln Square and making various small renovations along the way, our client decided to go all-out and advance with her dream renovation after being eased into the significant decision by our full-service design-build approach, extensive pre-planning process, out of the box design strategy, and thorough estimate. The results of this stunning renovation speak for themselves.
SPACIOUS CENTERPIECE KITCHEN
With many condos in Manhattan, the kitchen is the home’s focal point. In this case, the client’s goal was to reinvigorate this critical space via a classic interior design style with modern and contemporary touches. Beyond introducing updated appliances and pendant lighting, we added immaculate natural stone countertops and backsplash, along with opaque Tribeca shaker cabinets throughout the space.
TWO BATHROOMS, TWICE AS NICE
When the opportunity to add a bathroom to your Manhattan condo presents itself, you take advantage. Part of our renovation of this USW condo included an additional bathroom, in addition to a total overhaul of the ensuite bathroom. For the main bath, we turned the dreary old space into a soft and elegant sanctuary that’s warming as the sunlight beaming in, thanks to the sleek nickel-finish fixtures and custom marble tile. In the newly-created guest bathroom, we delivered an upscale, timeless design incorporating gleaming subway tiles, bold brass fixtures, and exquisite deco hexagon flooring.
PERMA-WFH OFFICE WITH CUSTOM MURPHY BED & STORAGE
After being thrust into a permanent work from home schedule due to the pandemic, our client decided to incorporate more of a formal home office space into her guest bedroom - a space where she also required additional storage. The problem was she didn't want to give up the practicality of a spare bedroom. To maintain the added bedroom availability and also provide a proper office space, we created a custom Murphy bed and desk area with custom millwork for enhanced organization with a perfectly narrow personal desk area nestled to the left of the large built-in.
ADDITIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
- We Incorporated Various Square/hexagon Features Throughout The Space, Per Client Preference
- Laundry Relocation For Added Space And Preference

One of our favorite clients requested our services once again, this time to update their outdated full bath. The main goal, aside from keeping the existing tub and surround in place, was to replace the tired vanity, small medicine cabinet, countertop, sink, flooring, light fixture, shower valve and trims with products that are more on trend. The desire was to create a wow factor and display their personal style.
Designing a bath with transitional finishes and a clean aesthetic was top of mind when we selected a white painted inset-style vanity, contrasting marble-look quartz countertop in suede finish and classic 3” x 6” white subway wall tiles. Tying together different patterns and incorporating 8” x 8” black and white deco floor tiles provides an interesting and refreshing industrial look that is an expression of our client’s individuality and style. Adding to this industrial style feature was the double light fixture with clear seeded glass mounted over the new framed recessed medicine cabinet with matching painted finish. Also, a priority in the remodeling process was to provide proper ventilation to not only keep air moving, but to ensure moisture is cleared from the room while showering.
This newly remodeled updated bathroom is light and airy, and clients are thrilled with the result.
“Hi Cathy, I just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with our bathrooms and stairs!! Ed, Bradley, and Charlie did their usual fantastic job, not to mention your guidance and expertise. We could not be more thrilled! Each and every time I look at the wall color in the upstairs bath, I comment to myself that Liz really is a ‘wiz’. Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
