On the "must haves" list was add color, make it approachable and cozy, and keep the sunshine pouring in. The front rooms open to each other, so creating a flow connecting the spaces was important - however, giving each space its own twist was priority. We selected a bold red paint on the exterior of the front door and a classic, chevron-patterned, textured grasscloth for the Entry to set the stage. Lighting and furnishings were layered in for added pops of color and functionality. The Living Room furnishings were selected to maximize seating and relaxation. We delivered on color with the addition of an uber comfy, lime green swivel chair and placed it bordering the Living Room and Dining Room so one could join both conversations. The Dining Room walls were painted a moody blue to create a backdrop for chic dinner parties and record listening sessions. Reupholstered vintage dining chairs brought their own stories to the table while a custom made buffet stores oodles of board games and records. Custom window treatments in both spaces added the necessary privacy while allowing the sun to shine through and create the perfect sunny spots for their sweet dog to nap. Adding in artwork provided the fun punctuations in these two areas. When my client mentioned that she loves to sit out on the deck with a cup of tea and listen to the birds sing, my first thought was - let's have them join you inside! We reimagined the Breakfast Nook seating and created a custom banquette to perch on amongst the sweetest bird themed wallpaper. The Breakfast Nook's color palette of olive green and saturated orange paired with the lovely natural light is calming and perfectly reflective of our client's disposition.

A dream kitchen for the Bold & Beautiful. Deciding to create an open floor plan for this Bayside home renovation meant we would be extending the kitchen into the previous living room, visible as you enter the home. For this exact reason, we wanted to integrate it into the new “Great Room”. Starting off with a dedicated bar area, the underwater wallpaper sets the tone for a transitional welcome to the kitchen. The melody of natural materials, including the 3-sided waterfall edge island, is balanced on the other side by a bar-height quartz for the dine-in kitchen experience. Making the split height island the start of the kitchen. The bar height side provides the perfect place to have a drink or snack, while the counter height side drops to a lower level, adjacent from the stove, allowing for a spacious kitchen. We created a separate toilet room and two vanity areas using beautiful cabinetry - designed with interiors that addressed their individual storage needs – makeup, toiletries, and a hamper and shared linen storage. The tall linen closet provides the perfect separation between the lady’s and gentleman’s areas. Two slender wall cabinets resting on marble bases atop the vanities and alongside the linen closet soften the transition from one area to another while providing discrete storage. We used it on the floor and combined it with glass glazed porcelain tile in the shower. Polished green onyx mosaic was used as a border accent on the shower wall, around the vanity mirrors and on the electric heated floor. Together they create a soft and harmonious statement. Electric mirrors with built-in lighting create a pattern of rectangles along the perimeter of the room. This strong rectangular design element flows from the frosted glass of the door to private toilet room opposite the vanities, to the existing window, moving to “his” mirror, “her” mirror, to the clear glass shower panel, and finishes dramatically at the shower wall mural. Green Surf granite was chosen for the countertops. The onyx backsplash, a mosaic composition of beautiful green, white and cream, was the connecting design element bringing the drams of the countertop color vertically to the walls. The floating shower seat and shower jambs in Caesar Stone add a distinctive but soft transition from the main bath area to the shower. This seamless flow passes in to the shower through an open doorway and a clear glass panel. A linear drain gives a clean, architectural look and blocking for the future grab bar installation has been located in the shower wall. Crisp bright painted cabinetry and polished chrome hardware complete this bright, sophisticated and highly functional bathroom.

A floor-installed power outlet under the desk ensures a clean, cord-free setup. Aesthetic and Palette: Anchored by a striking wallpaper chosen by the client, Alicia developed a soft, neutral color scheme that complements the room’s black window frames and maintains a feminine touch. Digital Integration: Included a screen dedicated to monitoring daily stock trends, positioned for easy viewing. The energy efficient monitor doubles as artwork when not in use, seamlessly blending functionality with style. Organizational Features: Implemented dual large bulletin boards for task and project tracking, integrating them aesthetically with custom cabinetry and interesting, yet subdued, fabric backing. Our client is thrilled with her new home office, which not only meets her professional needs but also adds comfort and style to her daily work routine.
