The three-level Mediterranean revival home started as a 1930s summer cottage that expanded downward and upward over time. We used a clean, crisp white wall plaster with bronze hardware throughout the interiors to give the house continuity. A neutral color palette and minimalist furnishings create a sense of calm restraint. Subtle and nuanced textures and variations in tints add visual interest. The stair risers from the living room to the primary suite are hand-painted terra cotta tile in gray and off-white. We used the same tile resource in the kitchen for the island's toe kick.

This home features full Control4 automation, networking, entertainment, lighting, comfort control and surveillance. The homeowners enjoy a dedicated home theater room, complete with Revel speakers and full acoustic treatments that provide an unforgettable theater experience. The outdoor living areas include outdoor audio, controlled landscape lighting and surveillance cameras that are monitored through the Control4 platform. Gorgeous custom cabinetry throughout the home makes for a stylish, yet high-tech smart home.

Modern meets playful color and quirky style in this charming 1940's home. My clients, a fun and energetic couple with an adorable young son were looking for something that reflected their modern yet eclectic taste. Inspiration for a small contemporary master pebble tile floor walk-in shower remodel in Burlington with green walls, a vessel sink, quartz countertops and a one-piece toilet

Located above the coast of Malibu, this two-story concrete and glass home is organized into a series of bands that hug the hillside and a central circulation spine. Living spaces are compressed between the retaining walls that hold back the earth and a series of glass facades facing the ocean and Santa Monica Bay. The name of the project stems from the physical and psychological protection provided by wearing reflective sunglasses. On the house the “glasses” allow for panoramic views of the ocean while also reflecting the landscape back onto the exterior face of the building. Lighting includes the use of both artificial light sources like lamps and light fixtures, as well as natural illumination by capturing daylight. Day-lighting (using windows, skylights, or light shelves) is sometimes used as the main source of light during daytime in buildings. Proper lighting can enhance task performance, improve the appearance of an area, or have positive psychological effects on occupants. Indoor lighting is usually accomplished using light fixtures, and is a key part of interior design. Lighting can also be an intrinsic component of landscape projects.
