Meaning there was no fireplace in the location of the home where we installed it. Steel framing had to be built and the high-heat board had to be installed. Gas and electricity were also plumbed/wired to the new fireplace location. This is a perfect example showing that fireplaces can be installed just about anywhere in your home.

As the construction went on, the homeowners, knowing they would not be at the house year round decided the easiest way to keep the house winterized was to install the Nest thermostat so that they would be able to adjust the settings as the weather changed, even if they were not at the house itself. The Nest is hooked to wi-fi and can be adjusted from the owner's phone and also alerts the homeowner when the temperature becomes low enough in the home to cause problems. The Nest will also alert your phone if the power was to shut off, which in Upstate NY, it is known to do. Living in the north country, you see many families having to drain pipes, set up heat cables to prevent ice dams in valleys and lower pitched roofs, and other yearly projects so that they do not have to worry about their pipes bursting, their roofs falling in, and other calamities. The homeowners continue to rave about the Nest year after year.

The Liftmaster 8500W motor is a direct drive motor that sits on the side of your garage door. This special motor comes with wi-fi and phone support, battery back up and it's ideal for high lift installation. For example if you measure 48 inches of space from the top of your door to the ceiling, this specific opener would maximize space in your garage. What makes this opener extra safe is its automatic track lock latch mechanism. It can be installed on the side of your door and, once your door goes all the way down a piston comes out and locks the door in a way that it can't be forced up.

The hardwood floors throughout the first floor were refinished and brought back to life along with installing new tile floors in the laundry area. A new Anderson 400 series sliding door was also installed; now the access to the back deck is smooth and easy. Fabuwood cabinetry in Fusion Blanc was chosen for the perimeter keeping things bright and clean. The Fabuwood island cabinets in Fusion Chestnut provide a nice contrast to the flooring and perimeter cabinetry. Juperana Persa granite countertops and new Tumbled Silver travertine tile backsplash have great color tones that tied the whole look together.
