We custom made these built in cubbies. They have storage nooks, coat hooks, and beadboard back capped with a top rail. We added a small wood doorstop on the lower right to prevent the door from banging into piece. After tearing down this home's existing addition, we set out to create a new addition with a modern farmhouse feel that still blended seamlessly with the original house. The addition includes a kitchen great room, laundry room and sitting room. Outside, we perfectly aligned the cupola on top of the roof, with the upper story windows and those with the lower windows, giving the addition a clean and crisp look. Using granite from Chester County, mica schist stone and hardy plank siding on the exterior walls helped the addition to blend in seamlessly with the original house. Inside, we customized each new space by paying close attention to the little details. Reclaimed wood for the mantle and shelving, sleek and subtle lighting under the reclaimed shelves, unique wall and floor tile, recessed outlets in the island, walnut trim on the hood, paneled appliances, and repeating materials in a symmetrical way work together to give the interior a sophisticated yet comfortable feel. "We decided to do a complete remodel of our kitchen after the pipe burst in our kitchen. We picked Taylor Pro to work with after getting extensive quotes and looked at many reviews. Easy to work with, always on time, and cleaned up everyday. The TaylorPro crew installed everything from new cabinets and hardware, plumbing, appliances, and contracted painters, granite installer, and flooring for us. They raised our kitchen ceiling by six inches, installed new lighting, and fixed the area of damaged wall in the kitchen and dining room. Any issues we ran into during this long process were fixed immediately by Kerry or his team. The crew was friendly, punctual and cleaned up on a daily basis as well as an in-depth cleaning at the end of the remodel. We got our up dream kitchen and are so happy the way the dining room and family room look with new paint, lighting fixtures, and flooring. Although it was tough to be without a kitchen, the end result was more than worth it!" ~ Adam L, Client Cabinets by Kitchen Emporium, Jenn-Air appliances, hardwood floors by Joe's Hardwood, granite backsplash, under cabinet lighting, rectangular sink, corner cabinet, glass cabinet, lazy susan. Also part of this home’s addition, the mud room effectively makes the most of its space. The bench, made up of wainscoting, hooks and a solid oak top for seating, provides storage and organization. Extra shelving in the nook provides more storage. The floor is black slate. What started as an addition project turned into a full house remodel in this Modern Craftsman home in Narberth, PA. The addition included the creation of a sitting room, family room, mudroom and third floor. As we moved to the rest of the home, we designed and built a custom staircase to connect the family room to the existing kitchen. We laid red oak flooring with a mahogany inlay throughout house. Another central feature of this is home is all the built-in storage. We used or created every nook for seating and storage throughout the house, as you can see in the family room, dining area, staircase landing, bedroom and bathrooms. Custom wainscoting and trim are everywhere you look, and gives a clean, polished look to this warm house.
