In this transitional farmhouse in West Chester, PA, we renovated the kitchen and family room, and installed new flooring and custom millwork throughout the entire first floor. This chic tuxedo kitchen has white cabinetry, white quartz counters, a black island, soft gold/honed gold pulls and a French door wall oven. The family room’s built in shelving provides extra storage. The shiplap accent wall creates a focal point around the white Carrera marble surround fireplace. The first floor features 8-in reclaimed white oak flooring (which matches the open shelving in the kitchen!) that ties the main living areas together. Rudloff Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016 and 2017. We also were voted Best of Design in 2016, 2017 and 2018, which only 2% of professionals receive. "We decided to do a complete remodel of our kitchen after the pipe burst in our kitchen. We picked Taylor Pro to work with after getting extensive quotes and looked at many reviews. Easy to work with, always on time, and cleaned up everyday. The TaylorPro crew installed everything from new cabinets and hardware, plumbing, appliances, and contracted painters, granite installer, and flooring for us. They raised our kitchen ceiling by six inches, installed new lighting, and fixed the area of damaged wall in the kitchen and dining room. Any issues we ran into during this long process were fixed immediately by Kerry or his team. The crew was friendly, punctual and cleaned up on a daily basis as well as an in-depth cleaning at the end of the remodel. We got our up dream kitchen and are so happy the way the dining room and family room look with new paint, lighting fixtures, and flooring. Gorgeous master bath finished with Dal-Tile's Fabrique porcelain tile in the color Noir Linen polished. Tile size is 12"x24" installed in a brick joint pattern. The floor boasts underfloor heating on a timed thermostat.

The owners wanted to eliminate posts and walls which existed between the kitchen and family room. This was accomplished by the installation of 23' steel plates, connectors, and micro-lam beams, supporting the second floor and roof. This new space allowed for the beautiful centerpiece island. All cabinet and crown molding installation was performed by our skilled craftsmen. The brick pattern tile back plash completes the cook top wall. New recessed lights, pendant lights and under counter lights illuminate the new space, along with in- cabinet lights in the glass door cabinets. Two existing doorways were custom arched by our craftsmen, enhancing the beauty of this new kitchen. The entrance to the Walk-in Pantry was relocated to accommodate the installation of the surrounding cabinetry. A new arched door opening and wall was built to separate the kitchen and butler pantry. The butler pantry cabinets are illuminated with in-cabinet lights. The owners were delighted with the punctuality, dependability, tidiness, and remarkable skill of our superior craftsmen. We converted what used to be this home’s master bedroom suite into a study and home office. We really enjoyed creating the built in book shelves for this study. These custom units feature open and adjustable shelving, and full roll out drawers for bottom storage. Connected to the study is a quiet home office and a powder room. Red oak hardwood floors run throughout the study and office. This light and airy home in Chadds Ford, PA, was a custom home renovation for long-time clients that included the installation of red oak hardwood floors, the master bedroom, master bathroom, two powder rooms, living room, dining room, study, foyer and staircase. remodel included the removal of an existing deck, replacing it with a beautiful flagstone patio. Each of these spaces feature custom, architectural millwork and custom built-in cabinetry or shelving. A special showcase piece is the continuous, millwork throughout the 3-story staircase. Mathew and his team at Cummings Architects have a knack for being able to see the perfect vision for a property. They specialize in identifying a building’s missing elements and crafting designs that simultaneously encompass the large scale, master plan and the myriad details that make a home special. For this Winchester home, the vision included a variety of complementary projects that all came together into a single architectural composition. Starting with the exterior, the single-lane driveway was extended and a new carriage garage that was designed to blend with the overall context of the existing home. In addition to covered parking, this building also provides valuable new storage areas accessible via large, double doors that lead into a connected work area. For the interior of the house, new moldings on bay windows, window seats, and two paneled fireplaces with mantles dress up previously nondescript rooms. The family room was extended to the rear of the house and opened up with the addition of generously sized, wall-to-wall windows that served to brighten the space and blur the boundary between interior and exterior. The family room, with its intimate sitting area, cozy fireplace, and charming breakfast table (the best spot to enjoy a sunlit start to the day) has become one of the family’s favorite rooms, offering comfort and light throughout the day. In the kitchen, the layout was simplified and changes were made to allow more light into the rear of the home via a connected deck with elongated steps that lead to the yard and a blue-stone patio that’s perfect for entertaining smaller, more intimate groups. From driveway to family room and back out into the yard, each detail in this beautiful design complements all the other concepts and details so that the entire plan comes together into a unified vision for a spectacular home. In this combined mud room and laundry room we built custom cubbies with a reclaimed pine bench. The shelf above the washer and dryer is also reclaimed pine and the upper cabinets, that match the cubbies, provide ample storage. The floor is porcelain gray/beige tile. This farmhouse style home in West Chester is the epitome of warmth and welcoming. We transformed this house’s original dark interior into a light, bright sanctuary. From installing brand new red oak flooring throughout the first floor to adding horizontal shiplap to the ceiling in the family room, we really enjoyed working with the homeowners on every aspect of each room. A special feature is the coffered ceiling in the dining room. We recessed the chandelier directly into the beams, for a clean, seamless look. We maximized the space in the white and chrome galley kitchen by installing a lot of custom storage. The pops of blue throughout the first floor give these room a modern touch. "Our backyard is truly a work of art! ... it is a beautifully lit and landscaped outdoor entertaining area which we will enjoy for years to come." — Kristen Mazzotta Brewster, New York EXTENSIVE LANDSCAPE PROJECT Fireplaces, Landscaping - Hardscaping & Pavers, Landscaping - Lighting, Patios, Outdoor Kitchens and Living Work Completed: 05/05/2017 Would You Hire This Company Again? Yes Approximate Cost: $90,000.00 Description Of Work: We had two separate projects done. A retaining wall and new staircase which was done this past fall, and an outdoor living space including a patio, outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, and a fire pit area that was completed this spring. Customer Comments: "We could not be any happier! My husband is an owner of an Italian restaurant and has always dreamed of having his own backyard kitchen and pizza oven. We weren't sure how everything was going to work in our backyard given that our land is very hilly and sloped. Rhett's design far exceeded our expectations! Because of our sloped yard, we needed to make a few changes to the project once they began working. It ended up adding some additional cost to the original quote, but with the new design we were able to combine a future project of a fire pit area into this one. Rhett also corrected drainage issues we were having with the land. Rhett was onsite overseeing most of the process and was in constant communication with us throughout the project. We were hoping to have the entire project done in time to host our son's birthday party and Rhett assured us the work would be complete, and it was. Our backyard is truly a work of art! Before it was a dark, uninviting space and now it is a beautifully lit and landscaped outdoor entertaining area which we will enjoy for years to come. We are planning on adding a hot tub area, a smaller side patio, and an inground pool in the next few years. We are definitely hiring these guys again to do the work and look forward to completing the backyard we've always wanted! This step-down family room features a coffered ceiling and a fireplace with a black slate hearth. We made the fireplace’s surround and mantle to match the raised paneled doors on the built-in storage cabinets on the right. For a unified look and to create a subtle focal point, we added moulding to the rest of the wall and above the fireplace. Sleek and contemporary, this beautiful home is located in Villanova, PA.
