Paneled walls in Iceberg 2122-50 reflect in the mirrored flecks of the Silestone® White Platinum backsplash while the high-arching Polished Chrome faucet accentuates the kitchen's effortless beauty. A classic, creamy vintage-style sink and refreshed antiques add an eclectic allure to the otherwise simple aesthetic.

Overview:
Located in Estero, Florida, Verdana Village is a new planned community that offers a wide range of amenities and outdoor activities for residents. With its proximity to beautiful beaches and the peaceful Estero River, the community is a popular choice for families seeking a vibrant and active lifestyle.
Features:
The centerpiece of the community is a spacious pool and pool deck area, which boasts a variety of high-quality facilities. These include both indoor and outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a versatile movement studio, and a convenient full-service café for residents to enjoy.
Design Solution:
To provide much-needed shade for pool deck users, Azenco was commissioned to design and install a series of durable and elegant 8’ x 8’ pool pergola structures. With no limitations on where the pergolas could be placed, the team focused on selecting the most robust and visually appealing options.
The Azenco R-SHADE system was chosen for its insulated fixed roof panels, effectively blocking the sun's rays and providing respite from passing showers. Additionally, the hidden gutter system of the R-SHADE ensures that rainwater is efficiently channeled away from the pergola space, keeping guests dry and comfortable during their stay.

A dated kitchen/den combo undergoes an amazing transformation in this remodel by R Lucas Construction and Design.
R Lucas Construction and Design President and CEO Ron Lucas knows the kitchen is the heart of today’s home – the place where families do much of their day-to-day living.
Ron was called to remodel this kitchen/den combo for clients who knew the home they purchased had potential. “The floor plan for the kitchen and den was open, but was very dark and dated,” Ron recalls. The open floor plan stayed during the remodel; however appliances were moved to make better use of the space and additional countertops were installed.
“The cooktop was moved from the kitchen’s back wall to the new island with range hood. The new, solid oak flooring is much more durable with its gray-oiled finish. Recessed lights were added, as well, and fitted with LED bulbs. The entire space was painted a cool gray that blends with all of the new cabinets and flooring and, along with the lighting, really changed the feel of the rooms,” Ron remarks. “Now the space flows together – both functionally and visually.”

R.B. Schwarz's client did not want to remove a wall but stay within the 10x11 ft. kitchen footprint in order to preserve the authenticity of the 1930's home. Custom cabinetry allowed for extra storage to be designed into this tiny kitchen. There are spice rack sliders on either side of the oven, bookshelves above the upper cabinets and more corner shelves for this avid baker. Photo Credit: Marc Golub

Talk about space! This massive playing area allows for full use of the Roof King Platinum system. Mounted above the garage allows the system to stay out of the way when need and accessible when wanted. This is a Roof King Platinum Basketball System that was purchased in May of 2013. It was installed on a 75 ft wide by a 32 ft deep playing area in Spring, TX. Our Interior Designers tell clients, “Be true to yourself, and you will love the results.” This kitchen remodel reflects that motto. The owners of this Salem area ranch home had a long-standing appreciation of the classic white, black, and red color combination. So when C&R Senior Interior Designer Linda Stewart selected the new color palette, she stayed close to that theme.
A challenge in nearly every older kitchen is the new refrigerator sizes. Remember the day when you could replace your refrigerator and the new one would fit perfectly in the existing space? Not anymore. Now, the super-sized refrigerators wreck havoc on most kitchen spaces. If, by luck, it happens to fit beneath the upper cabinet, it more than likely protrudes out into the room.
This kitchen had that issue. The refrigerator stuck out a good six inches from the cabinet edge, seriously affecting the visual flow. And with that much added depth, reaching the cabinet above was almost impossible.
C&R solved this problem with a custom cabinet and side pantry that extends the full depth of the refrigerator. This accomplished two good things: added architectural interest and a refrigerator proportional to the kitchen as a whole.

The Appleton blends beauty with energy efficiency, and open spaces with innovative design. The house features amazing views from every bedroom, modern Miele appliances, Fantini fixtures and state of the art automation. A radiant heating and cooling system replaces traditional heating, providing efficient energy usage and superior thermal comfort. The outside of the home features a floating fiber cement rainscreen facade which serves the dual purpose of creating natural shadow lines while allowing the building envelope to stay dry and cool.

This vanity arrangement is simply divine where form meets function. The dual, undermount sinks can accommodate mother and father or two kids to maximize on time when in a rush. The dual mirrors beautifully reflect the sunlight from two new windows on the opposite wall and also make the space feel so much more expansive. And the mirrors are also anti fog mirrors so after showering there is no down time or need to open a window to let the steam escape!
The Hunter Douglas shades selected by Jane Barnes Interiors are perfect for any time of day or year as they can be raised from the top down or bottom up. They are also anti-macrobial which is perfect for a moist space like a bathroom.
The center column hides all hair styling products and also houses an outlet inside so they can stay plugged in at all times for ease of use and storage. It also serves as a bit of a privacy assistant to give a user the essence of being alone in the space.

Who wouldn’t love an original fireplace in their newly remodeled master bathroom? The brick hearth is gone, but the 100-year-old brick fireplace stayed. The R.B. Schwarz, Inc. team installed a marble floor with radiant heat.

COLUMNS ARE FROM ORIGINAL KITCHEN WALL.....LEFT COLUMN WAS FOR STRUCTURAL SUPPORT AND HAD TO STAY.....SO WE FRAMED IT, SKINNED IT AND FINISHED IT WITH MATCHING CROWN (ALL FROM CABINET MFR.) .....COLUMN ON RIGHT IS STRICTLY DECORATIVE AND WAS ADDED TO BALANCE NEW ISLAND ON BOTH SIDES.....WHAT A GREAT OPEN VISUAL FROM F/R.

Spectrum Construction & Development, based out of Roxbury Twp., New Jersey is the recipient of the 2016 Awards of Excellence presented by the Metropolitan Builders & Contractors Association of New Jersey in the Custom Single-Family Home Category ($1,000,000 - $2,000,000)
The homeowners moved to Morris County, New Jersey to be closer to their grown children and their families. They found a mid-century style home on a beautiful tree-lined street less than a mile away from their children's homes. Although the location was ideal and the corner lot perfectly situated for the homeowners, it was in disrepair and did not offer them the space, design features and finishes they wanted. Spectrum Construction arranged for the original home to be deconstructed with any salvageable material sold to the public for reuse or re-purposing.
The custom 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath home that Spectrum Construction designed and built in its place combines country charm with modern elegance. This new home incorporates many unique features including the “drive through” two-car garage that allows the homeowners access to the converging streets. The massive first-floor master bedroom suite consists of a marble surround fireplace, 2 sizeable walk-in-closets as well as his and her luxurious master bathrooms. Two home offices provide the homeowners with ample room to take care of business. An elevator was installed to enable the homeowners and aging guests to easily and safely access the second floor. Abundant storage areas throughout the home, including the cavernous full basement, offer plenty of space to stow extra belongings.
The second story was designed with the homeowners’ grandchildren in mind. The additional bedrooms, playroom and upstairs den make room for both daytime visits and overnight stays. Space for entertaining adult guests was also considered. The first floor includes a spacious great room with floor to ceiling stone fireplace which opens to a covered, screened-in back porch with a second stone fireplace. The stylish kitchen, containing two counter seating areas and an eat-in nook, along with the formal dining room give the homeowners plenty of room to accommodate large gatherings.

A remodeled master bathroom that now complements our clients' lifestyle. The main goal was to make the space more functional while also giving it a refreshing and updated look.
Our first action was to replace the vanity. We installed a brand new storage-centric vanity that stayed within the size of the previous one, wasting no additional space.
Additional features included custom mirrors perfectly fitted to their new vanity, elegant new sconce lighting, and a new mosaic tiled shower niche.
Designed by Chi Renovation & Design who serve Chicago and it's surrounding suburbs, with an emphasis on the North Side and North Shore. You'll find their work from the Loop through Lincoln Park, Skokie, Wilmette, and all of the way up to Lake Forest.
