Overlooking one of the most utilized parks in Austin, TX, this residence was designed to capture views below. DRM Design Group worked closely with the architect and home builder to create a seamless transition from interior to exterior spaces. The project included a saltwater pool, privacy screen, custom entry gate, custom metal vegetable planters & benches, and an outdoor kitchen.

Cold frames are a terrific way to extend the growing season on both ends; serving as mini-greenhouses they allow your garden to keep producing in cold weather months when growing would otherwise be impossible. These beautiful, locally made cedar cold frames measure 24″x 44″ and slope from 5″ in front to 24″ in back (custom built sizes are also available). A temperature sensitive piston automatically opens and closes the lid as-need to create a perfect climate for your plants.

Blue ceramic pots and a matching blue tile backsplash bring a touch of the Mediterranean to this rooftop terrace in the heart of New York City. This Park Avenue residence actually features three separate rooftop terraces. One terrace is made for entertaining and features a built-in fireplace, inset jacuzzi, bluestone patio, custom-built wood planters, an outdoor kitchen, and ceramic pots filled with boxwoods and flowers. The upstairs terrace feels like a private oasis surrounded by lush birch trees and roses that soften the view on all sides. Another smaller terrace off the master bedroom is charmingly intimate and features a mix of serene evergreens and comfortable lounge chairs. This backyard landscape design is inspired by our Blu Grande Smooth patio slab. Perfect paving slab for modern poolsides and backyard design, Blu Grande Smooth is a large concrete patio stone available in multiple colors. This small space between the residence and garage was an underutilized grassy area. The owners wanted fresh, organically grown vegetables and this was their sunniest spot. The interior of the raised beds are lined with pond liner to minimize the wood to soil contact, as pressure treated wood was used for longevity.
