"TaylorPro remodeled our kitchen, replacing cabinets, countertops and appliances. Keeping with the same footprint of our original kitchen and keeping our original travertine floors, Kerry Taylor helped us select a palette of rich, natural colors and materials--mocha-maple glazed cabinets, handsome granite and polished travertine backsplash tiles--to create a warm and beautiful new kitchen. He offered excellent design suggestions for placements of cabinetry and appliances. He recommended and implemented window trim enhancements as well as paint color and lighting design that brought the kitchen and attached family room together with a modern and very warm look. He created a rich, textured backsplash behind the stovetop that enhances the modern stainless steel vent hood. We couldn't be more pleased with the character and design of the kitchen and family room suite. To begin with, Kerry gave us a detailed estimate covering the likely costs of labor, cabinetry, granite, tile backsplash, construction materials and appliances. His estimate for labor, granite and tile turned out to be ""spot-on"" accurate. Much to our surprise, for example, the granite slabs we selected from Daltile turned out to be exactly the price Kerry had estimated when evaluating the level of materials we would likely install in our kitchen. Kerry kept to his original labor costs, to the penny. Each week, he provided us with an invoice that showed, in percentages, exactly how much labor had been performed that week and how much remained to be done in future weeks. The amounts he charged each week for his labor were exact percentages of the amount of labor his crew had performed to that point. Though these invoices invited us to do a little math to confirm the accuracy of these percentages, Kerry's figures were consistently accurate. The only categories in which Kerry's original estimate did not conform to the actual costs were in the areas of supplies from Home Depot (needed for the remodeling) and supplies from paint and hardware stores (needed for painting). These materials ended up costing somewhat more that Kerry had estimated. However, Kerry did provide us with receipts for all of these supplies. Kerry's cabinet man, Jerry, made a very workable design using pre-fabricated cabinets; he then customized the sizes of at least half of these cabinets to conform to the requirements of the center island, cooktop and pantry spaces. We are very happy with the quality of the cabinets. We found the installation expertise of Jerry's installer, Gil, to be top-rate. His installation achieved a custom look and all the cupboards and drawers worked flawlessly. Kerry's crew, Jake, Randall and Kevin, were great guys to have on site. They respected our property (and our dog) and possessed both skill and integrity. They arrived daily at the time they specified and worked tirelessly to achieve what they set out to do. We couldn't have been happier with their work. Kerry was on site frequently to supervise and coordinate their work and the work of subcontractors. Pavers were tumbled to achieve a weathered and rustic look, complementing the limestone used on the home. The home’s exterior includes exudes quality and includes limestone as well as both precast and oil rubbed bronze iron accents. Tumbled pavers balance German Schmear grout style used on the limestone walls and the roof tile mudded ridges and bumps. The commitment to craftsmanship necessitated a 2.5 year build process. Keystone Hardscapes samples were created and brought to the home during the final stages of constructions to ensure critical harmony between the pavers and exterior elements of the home. The paver samples were laid against the stucco, precast, limestone and cedar garage doors to confirm design alignment and flow. The natural grade of this site was mitigated through a significant backfill and retaining wall; delivering a subtle slope from street to a flat grade driveway. This provided an even surface for vehicles and, with Venetian pavers, a seamless transition from the entry gate in to the inner courtyard.

After years of dealing with the impractical layout and aging fixtures, Jennie decided it was time for a complete master bathroom remodel. She wanted a bathroom that not only functioned better but also reflected her style. During the design phase, the team worked with Jennie to maximize the newly opened space. Removing the bathtub allowed for a significantly wider, more luxurious area. The new custom shower provides a stunning focal point for the room. The selection of MSI Surfaces' Eden Dolomite hexagon tiles for the shower floor and Arizona Tile’s Flash Ivory tiles for the walls ensured a sleek, modern look. Every detail, from the new recessed bath niche featuring Amira Green Patterned Porcelain to the Champagne Bronze Delta Universal Showering fixtures, was carefully selected to bring Jennie’s dream bathroom to life. On the vanity side, the layout was adjusted by converting two sinks into one, with a sleek new vessel sink from Kohler and a wall-mounted faucet from Delta Trinsic in Champagne Bronze. The countertop gleamed with MSI Surfaces' Miraggio Gold Premium Natural Quartz, and the wall behind was tiled in the same green patterned porcelain as the shower niche, creating a cohesive and stylish design. A frameless mirror and a four-light Lite Haus vanity in aged brass finished the vanity area. Sequoia Blonde 8x40 wood-look tiles were installed on the flooring in a random offset pattern for a natural flow throughout the bathroom. With thoughtful design choices and high-quality materials, Jennie’s master bathroom evolved into a space that is not only practical but visually striking, combining timeless elegance with modern comforts.

When Cornerstone Architects teamed up with Wheelhouse Design to create a home in Central Austin, they sought to exhibit a balance between clean, modern design and tactile, organic materials all the while situated in Austin, Texas’s, unique natural environment. The intention for the home was to layer texture through the use of natural materials, so of course LIFECORE engineered hardwood floors fit right in. The home features abundant natural light thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and transom windows throughout, and LIFECORE Anew Gentling oak hardwood floors add natural wood to the space for a truly unique aesthetic. “We wanted light wood with some visual texture and open grain, matte finished, random length wide planks,” said Cecile Gottlich, interior designer with Wheelhouse. “Since there are such wide open spaces in this house, the scale and variation per piece were key features in our selection.” The light brown reclaim-inspired engineered wood flooring is wire brushed for a distressed look. As with all LIFECORE hardwood floors, it features a matte finish that allows for a much more natural look than high-gloss floors. Thanks to our organic reactive process, each plank features natural darkening and highlighting of the grain pattern. This reactive look is achieved by briefly exposing the wood to an environment in which organic substances are introduced directly to the wood to bring tannins and natural sugars to the surface. The 1.5” by 7.5” planks come in random lengths and feature a nine-coat UV hardened finish for added durability. Plus, all LIFECORE engineered hardwood floors feature our proprietary ZERO-ADD technology, for flooring that has among the lowest levels of formaldehyde on the market.
