Our clients—philanthropists that split time between Chicago and Naples—embraced a rare opportunity to buy an adjacent unit and experience full-floor city living. With a vision for both intimate and large gatherings and minimal maintenance, we developed simple architectural details that organize the primary living spaces and integrate mechanical, lighting and structural elements. Their growing art collection is set against classic oak paneling, travertine and oak flooring and white lacquer finishes. Seeded glass and metal doors filter natural light into the center of the apartment and reflect city and lake views. The result is an understated yet inviting home.

We are all about livable spaces! We transformed this rarely used formal living room into a casual but sophisticated game room. The design features a custom built-in wet bar decked out to the nines with a kegerator, ice machine and beverage fridge. We love the casual but stylish vertical shiplap and floating oak shelves - designed for a shelf styling moment! The new living room connects to the to formal(ish) dining room where the blues, textures and touch of rustic metal finishes continue.

This is the front view of a home located on an extremely rare five lot parcel in Chicago, overlooking the north branch of the Chicago River. The front was designed to match the urban fabric of the surrounding neighborhood, by breaking down the mass of the corner with roof forms and projections. This makes this otherwise larger home relate to the neighboring homes with its proportions and scale.

This turn of the century Victorian home was definitely a labour of love for the Hope Designs Team! We couldn't get enough of the exposed brick walls, onsite finished dark expresso hardwood floors and glass railings, not to mention the 5 fully appointed spa bathrooms! This 4 story beauty was literally gutted from the inside out right down to the studs. A rare find in the heart of Toronto's Little Italy. What a stunner, it is truly a work of art we designed it in our favourite style.... a hip contemporary urban vibe with a rustic country twist. These are custom built counters that have silica inside for a slight crystally sheen. We can put any material in them and polish it out. Examples: Turquoise and other rock, rare wood samples, gold iron, and other metals, and even man-made glass in any color.
