Heith Comer Photography This beautiful lake house included high end appointments throughout, until you entered the Master Bath, with builder grade vanities, cultured marble tub and counter tops, standard trim. It now has an elegant his and her vanity with towers at each end, a center tower and make up station, and lots of drawers for additional storage. The newly partitioned space (where the original tub was located) now serves as a fully accessible shower, with seat, hand held shower next to seat, shower head in ceiling and three body sprays. A lateral drain was used to minimize the required slope. Stone surfaces produce feel of old world elegance. The bathroom is spacious, easy to maintain, the cabinetry design and storage space allows for everything to be at your finger tips, but still organized, put away and out of sight. Precision Homecrafters was named Remodeler of the Year by the Alabama Home Builders Association. Since 2006, we've been recognized with over 51 Alabama remodeling awards for excellence in remodeling. Absolutely stunning sums it up for this living room. All the classic elements of a solid design with fresh fabrics, finishes and patterns. Timeless yet trending is what this room is all about. Many shades of gold finishes mix with saturated deep wood tones to make this space interesting while adding depth to the design. The color palette of gold and ivory effortlessly compliment the navy and ivory dining room while the gold, blue and ivory come together in the foyer as the palette moves into the great room area. Beautiful accessories, custom pillows and window treatments are the final layer and bring the room together beautifully. This is a statement room that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

Vertical Works: Whole House Remodel This duplex had endless opportunities, and the owners recognized the potential. The goal was to create a modern and contemporary home, with bold colors, but one that would fit within the surrounding traditional neighborhood. The home was brought down to the framing, and each product was carefully chosen with attention to quality and detail. New Zip System sheeting was used for its strength and energy efficiency, along with high R-value insulation. Duct work was renovated, and new heating and cooling units added. A vibrant blue pre-finished siding was selected for the exterior. New drywall with a knockdown finish was installed, and a variety of vibrant paint colors were used. Modern interior doors were installed featuring trim with a glass-like white finish. The kitchen features cabinetry with handmade tiles for the backsplash. A luxury vinyl plank flooring was used in the kitchen and hallways, while the bedrooms have a gray pattern carpet. The bathroom has all new fixtures, with a luxury vinyl tile flooring.

Nothing was more organic than the acid stained concrete floors that used dripped retardant to produce the "pukas". Once acid stained TRC washed the floors with Ammonia and Water in order to neutralize the acid and prepared to seal. We sealed the floors with Richard James E-3 Water Based Epoxy and followed with Stone Lok 2-K Urethane. After both sealers were applied we applied 3-coats of acrylic wax for its final finish.

Many people can’t see beyond the current aesthetics when looking to buy a house, but this innovative couple recognized the good bones of their mid-century style home in Golden’s Applewood neighborhood and were determined to make the necessary updates to create the perfect space for their family. In order to turn this older residence into a modern home that would meet the family’s current lifestyle, we replaced all the original windows with new, wood-clad black windows. The design of window is a nod to the home’s mid-century roots with modern efficiency and a polished appearance. We also wanted the interior of the home to feel connected to the awe-inspiring outside, so we opened up the main living area with a vaulted ceiling. To add a contemporary but sleek look to the fireplace, we crafted the mantle out of cold rolled steel. The texture of the cold rolled steel conveys a natural aesthetic and pairs nicely with the walnut mantle we built to cap the steel, uniting the design in the kitchen and the built-in entryway. Everyone at Factor developed rich relationships with this beautiful family while collaborating through the design and build of their freshly renovated, contemporary home. We’re grateful to have the opportunity to work with such amazing people, creating inspired spaces that enhance the quality of their lives.
