Complete bathroom remodel Summer 2013. This bath offers generous space without going overboard in square footage. The homeowner chose to go with a large double vanity, a nice shower with custom features a shower seat. We decided to keep the existing tub and deck it with carrara marble. The vanity area shown in this photo has plenty of storage for bathroom appliances in the tower. Below the mirrored wall cabinets we added a open towel storage space below. The mirrors were cased out with the matching woodwork, crown detail and carrara tile mosaics on each side. The countertop is Carrara slab marble with undermount Marzi sinks. The Kallista faucets are wall mounted, we was chosen in chrome since it was an easier finish to maintain for years to come. The floor tile is a 20 x 20 Silver Strand with a Carrara Marble strip set in straight. The backsplash to the vanity is the companion carrara mosaic random. Vaulted ceilings add to the dramatic feel of this bath. The polished nickel Restoration glass globe chandelier also adds to the dramatic glamour of the bath. The shower has three zones function, with a polished gray porcelain tile, mixed with split face white marble and carrara marble mosaics. This luxury bath sets its residence in Houston Texas.

Wooden windows are a popular choice for London apartments due to their traditional aesthetic and energy efficiency. Wooden windows provide a timeless look that adds character to any home, while being energy efficient and providing insulation from the elements. They are also easy to maintain, making them a great choice for busy city living. Wooden windows come in a variety of styles, colors and sizes, so you can choose the perfect window to complement your London apartment. Wooden windows also help reduce noise pollution, provide natural ventilation, and protect against the cold and heat.

Londoners living in apartments often enjoy the benefits of big windows, which flood their living spaces with natural light, providing a bright and airy atmosphere. These windows can also offer great views of the city's skyline, which can be particularly mesmerizing at night. Big windows also provide a great way to cool down during the summer months, as they can be opened to allow a refreshing breeze to flow through. Additionally, they can bring some much-needed ventilation to the home, helping to reduce humidity and improve air quality.

Windows in London's apartments are a great way to let in natural light and fresh air. They also provide a great view of the city and its landmarks. Many apartments have large windows that open outward to allow for a greater view of the skyline. The windows can be opened to let in a breeze or closed to keep out the cold. Some windows even have shutters that can be adjusted to control the amount of sunlight entering the room. Windows in London apartments are also a great way to reduce energy bills, as they allow the sun's heat to naturally heat the apartment.

Alcove shower - contemporary 3/4 gray tile and marble tile gray floor alcove shower idea in San Francisco with flat-panel cabinets, blue cabinets, white walls, an undermount sink, a hinged shower door and gray countertops

The Lucia Magnani Health Clinic is an avant-garde structure in the setting of the historic and prestigious Grand Hotel di Castrocaro thermal complex.
For the realization of the new Health SPA, the èdoc architects studio has chosen to use Laminam surfaces which, thanks to their materiality and structure, in the reduced thickness of 5mm, have made it possible to recreate great character and three-dimensionality surfaces.
The Bocciardato (bush-hammered) finish has proved to be a decisive feature. It has allowed the use of non-slip properties in wet areas, giving visual consistency between the various surfaces such as walls and floors and up to the custom-designed furnishings, creating harmony and continuity with the furnishing elements present in the Grand Hotel.

Wooden windows in London apartments provide a classic, timeless look to the home. They come in a variety of styles and colors to match any design aesthetic. Whether you’re looking for a traditional, single-hung window with a solid wood frame, or a more modern, double-glazed window with a sleek aluminum frame, you’ll find the perfect window to complete your London home. Wooden windows offer excellent insulation and reduce outside noise, making them ideal for homes in busy city centers. Plus, they are very durable, requiring minimal maintenance and upkeep. Investing in wooden windows will not only bring beauty and comfort to your home, but will also add value to your property.

The style profile for this space was eclectic, modern, and a touch of traditional - a mash up that has quickly become my favorite. This timeless space reflects the spunky personality of my client and shows theres more to her than meets the eye.

The homeowner of this traditional home requested a traditional pool and spa with a resort-like style and finishes. AquaTerra was able to create this wonderful outdoor environment with all they could have asked for.
While the pool and spa may be simple on the surface, extensive planning went into this environment to incorporate the intricate deck pattern. During site layout and during construction, extreme attention to detail was required to make sure nothing compromised the precise deck layout.
The pool is 42'x19' and includes a custom water feature wall, glass waterline tile and a fully tiled lounge with bubblers. The separate spa is fully glass tiled and is designed to be a water feature with custom spillways when not in use. LED lighting is used in both the pool and spa to create dramatic lighting that can be enjoyed at night.
The pool/spa deck is made of 2'x2' travertine stones, four to a square, creating a 4'x4' grid that is rotated 45 degrees in relation to the pool. In between all of the stones is synthetic turf that ties into the synthetic turf putting green that is adjacent to the deck. Underneath all of this decking and turf is a concrete sub-deck to support and drain the entire system.
Finishes and details that increase the aesthetic appeal for project include:
-All glass tile spa and spa basin
-Travertine deck
-Tiled sun lounge with bubblers
-Custom water feature wall
-LED lighting
-Synthetic turf
This traditional pool and all the intricate details make it a perfect environment for the homeowners to live, relax and play!

Example of a large minimalist master gray floor bedroom design in San Diego with multicolored walls and no fireplace

This modern green home offers both a vacation destination on Cape Cod near local family members and an opportunity for rental income.
FAMILY ROOTS. A West Coast couple living in the San Francisco Bay Area sought a permanent East Coast vacation home near family members living on Cape Cod. As academic professionals focused on sustainability, they sought a green, energy efficient home that was well-aligned with their values. With no green homes available for sale on Cape Cod, they decided to purchase land near their family and build their own.
SLOPED SITE. Comprised of a 3/4 acre lot nestled in the pines, the steeply sloping terrain called for a plan that embraced and took advantage of the slope. Of equal priority was optimizing solar exposure, preserving privacy from abutters, and creating outdoor living space. The design accomplished these goals with a simple, rectilinear form, offering living space on the both entry and lower/basement levels. The stepped foundation allows for a walk-out basement level with light-filled living space on the down-hill side of the home. The traditional basement on the eastern, up-hill side houses mechanical equipment and a home gym. The house welcomes natural light throughout, captures views of the forest, and delivers entertainment space that connects indoor living space to outdoor deck and dining patio.
MODERN VISION. The clean building form and uncomplicated finishes pay homage to the modern architectural legacy on the outer Cape. Durable and economical fiber cement panels, fixed with aluminum channels, clad the primary form. Cedar clapboards provide a visual accent at the south-facing living room, which extends a single roof plane to cover the entry porch.
SMART USE OF SPACE. On the entry level, the “L”-shaped living, dining, and kitchen space connects to the exterior living, dining, and grilling spaces to effectively double the home’s summertime entertainment area. Placed at the western end of the entry level (where it can retain privacy but still claim expansive downhill views) is the master suite with a built-in study. The lower level has two guest bedrooms, a second full bathroom, and laundry. The flexibility of the space—crucial in a house with a modest footprint—emerges in one of the guest bedrooms, which doubles as home office by opening the barn-style double doors to connect it to the bright, airy open stair leading up to the entry level. Thoughtful design, generous ceiling heights and large windows transform the modest 1,100 sf* footprint into a well-lit, spacious home. *(total finished space is 1800 sf)
RENTAL INCOME. The property works for its owners by netting rental income when the owners are home in San Francisco. The house especially caters to vacationers bound for nearby Mayo Beach and includes an outdoor shower adjacent to the lower level entry door. In contrast to the bare bones cottages that are typically available on the Cape, this home offers prospective tenants a modern aesthetic, paired with luxurious and green features. Durable finishes inside and out will ensure longevity with the heavier use that comes with a rental property.
COMFORT YEAR-ROUND. The home is super-insulated and air-tight, with mechanical ventilation to provide continuous fresh air from the outside. High performance triple-paned windows complement the building enclosure and maximize passive solar gain while ensuring a warm, draft-free winter, even when sitting close to the glass. A properly sized air source heat pump offers efficient heating & cooling, and includes a carefully designed the duct distribution system to provide even comfort throughout the house. The super-insulated envelope allows us to significantly reduce the equipment capacity, duct size, and airflow quantities, while maintaining unparalleled thermal comfort.
ENERGY EFFICIENT. The building’s shell and mechanical systems play instrumental roles in the home’s exceptional performance. The building enclosure reduces the most significant energy glutton: heating. Continuous super-insulation, thorough air sealing, triple-pane windows, and passive solar gain work together to yield a miniscule heating load. All active energy consumers are extremely efficient: an air source heat pump for heating and cooling, a heat pump hot water heater, LED lighting, energy recovery ventilation (ERV), and high efficiency appliances. The result is a home that uses 70% less energy than a similar new home built to code requirements.
OVERALL. The home embodies the owners’ goals and values while comprehensively enabling thermal comfort, energy efficiency, a vacation respite, and supplementary income.
