Refurnishing this Melshire Estates home with a fresh, transitional look and feel was just what this client wanted. We mainly leveraged neutrals and some blues to keep things visually calm and then it was all about delivering comfort for their active family. The fireplace was updated with a cast stone surround, giving this family room focal point a much needed facelift. The powder bath received a sophisticated renovation and light fixtures throughout the home were replaced with fixtures that uniquely reflect the client’s personality in every room. The star of the show in this home is the dining room, featuring a large, commissioned original art piece as well as the most stunning ceiling light fixture. It’s impossible to feel anything but cheery when you walk by this room!

Primary bedroom in a La Quinta desert home remodel by Hyde Evans Design. The bedroom palette reflects the project's core design language: soothing, muted, and modern — a direct response to the Mediterranean architecture's original formal detailing. Craftsman furnishings bring warmth without visual weight, keeping the room calm and restful. This whole-home project included full refurnishing of the main residence and adjoining casita, with each room restyled to feel cohesive and contemporary while respecting the home's bones. This quaint home, located in Plano’s prestigious Willow Bend Polo Club, underwent some super fun updates during our renovation and refurnishing project! The clients’ love for bright colors, mid-century modern elements, and bold looks led us to designing a black and white bathroom with black paned glass, colorful hues in the game room and bedrooms, and a sleek new “work from home” space for working in style. The clients love using their new spaces and have decided to let us continue designing these looks throughout additional areas in the home!

Garden florals and colors were the inspiration for the total renovation and refurnishing of this project. The client wished for a bright and cheerful home to enjoy each day. Each room received fresh appointments and waves of colorful touches in furnishings, art, and window treatments- with plenty of nods to the client’s love for gardening. The bathrooms are the most fun botanical interpretations! The owner’s bath features a Carrera marble shower wall treatment, reminiscent of a sweet flower, along with a foliage-inspired chandelier and wallpaper. The secondary bath is like walking through a colorful rainforest with bold hues extending throughout the room. The plum vanity and Caribbean blue shower accent tile complement the wallpaper perfectly. The entire home flows from room to room with colors that inspire joyful energy. Painted furniture pieces, a multicolored striped settee, and powerful pillow fabrics are just some of the fun items that bring this once understated home into a whole new light!

The 3 bathrooms in this 1970's house were in serious need of remodeling - as in gut and re-build - so the owners decided to have them all done at once and while at it, refinish the floors, refurnish the living room and furnish the new screen porch addition. As a designer in a seasonal resort area, I am accustomed to working with my customers long distance. Using (and e-mailing) computer drafted renderings, product layout pages very professional builders, suppliers and steady communication, my client and I moved flawlessly through the challenges all remodel projects present. My goal was to find fabrics and furnishings that reflected the home's original architectural Mid Century Modern integrity The house has very strong horizontal lines that I wanted to repeat in the furniture, bathroom fixtures, tile and light fixture selections. Beautiful transitional living room/dining room with mixed elements. The piano, paintings, and chandelier are the only original pieces before remodel/refurnish was started. Hard wood floors replace carpeting, recessed lighting was added in living room. The colors in the rug and lving room accents were my inspiration from the beautiful paintings. Traditonal furniture is mixed with transitional pieces. The simple writing table is accompanied with a modern ghost chair, accent with a faux fur pillow and navy throw. The moroccan style glass and metal end table adds a global feeling and compliments the neutral pewter tone tones of the sofa and arm chair. The dining room was done in neutral shades except for the pop of color in the rug. The silver, white and navy area rug transitions over from the living room mixing with a gold mirror to complement the gold chandelier. All metals were used to tie these two rooms together.
